The Forgiver · Makki · 85 Ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
تَنزِيلُ (The) revelation ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (of) the Book مِنَ (is) from ٱللَّهِ Allah ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty ٱلْعَلِيمِ the All-Knower ٢
The revelation of the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] is from Allāh, the Exalted in Might, the Knowing,
— Come To Light
غَافِرِ (The) Forgiver ٱلذَّنۢبِ (of) the sin وَقَابِلِ and (the) Acceptor ٱلتَّوْبِ (of) [the] repentance شَدِيدِ severe ٱلْعِقَابِ (in) the punishment ذِى Owner (of) the abundance ٱلطَّوْلِ ۖ Owner (of) the abundance لَآ (There is) no إِلَـٰهَ god إِلَّا except هُوَ ۖ Him إِلَيْهِ to Him ٱلْمَصِيرُ (is) the final return ٣
The forgiver of sin, acceptor of repentance, severe in punishment, owner of abundance. There is no deity except Him; to Him is the destination.
— Come To Light
مَا Not يُجَـٰدِلُ dispute فِىٓ concerning ءَايَـٰتِ (the) Verses ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah إِلَّا except ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve فَلَا so (let) not يَغْرُرْكَ deceive you تَقَلُّبُهُمْ their movement فِى in ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ the cities ٤
No one disputes concerning the signs of Allāh except those who disbelieve, so be not deceived by their [uninhibited] movement throughout the land.
— Come To Light
كَذَّبَتْ Denied قَبْلَهُمْ before them قَوْمُ (the) people نُوحٍۢ (of) Nuh وَٱلْأَحْزَابُ and the factions مِنۢ after them بَعْدِهِمْ ۖ after them وَهَمَّتْ and plotted كُلُّ every أُمَّةٍۭ nation بِرَسُولِهِمْ against their Messenger لِيَأْخُذُوهُ ۖ to seize him وَجَـٰدَلُوا۟ and they disputed بِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ by falsehood لِيُدْحِضُوا۟ to refute بِهِ thereby ٱلْحَقَّ the truth فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ So I seized them فَكَيْفَ Then how كَانَ was عِقَابِ My penalty ٥
The people of Noah denied before them and the [disbelieving] factions after them, and every nation intended [a plot] for their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth. So I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty.
— Come To Light
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus حَقَّتْ has been justified كَلِمَتُ (the) Word رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord عَلَى against ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieved أَنَّهُمْ that they أَصْحَـٰبُ (are) companions ٱلنَّارِ (of) the Fire ٦
And thus has the word [i.e., decree] of your Lord come into effect upon those who disbelieved that they are companions of the Fire.
— Come To Light
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يَحْمِلُونَ bear ٱلْعَرْشَ the Throne وَمَنْ and who حَوْلَهُۥ (are) around it يُسَبِّحُونَ glorify بِحَمْدِ (the) praises رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord وَيُؤْمِنُونَ and believe بِهِۦ in Him وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ and ask forgiveness لِلَّذِينَ for those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe رَبَّنَا Our Lord وَسِعْتَ You encompass كُلَّ all شَىْءٍۢ things رَّحْمَةًۭ (by Your) Mercy وَعِلْمًۭا and knowledge فَٱغْفِرْ so forgive لِلَّذِينَ those who تَابُوا۟ repent وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ and follow سَبِيلَكَ Your Way وَقِهِمْ and save them (from) عَذَابَ (the) punishment ٱلْجَحِيمِ (of) the Hellfire ٧
Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allāh] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.
— Come To Light
رَبَّنَا Our Lord وَأَدْخِلْهُمْ And admit them جَنَّـٰتِ (to) Gardens عَدْنٍ (of) Eden ٱلَّتِى which وَعَدتَّهُمْ You have promised them وَمَن and whoever صَلَحَ (was) righteous مِنْ among ءَابَآئِهِمْ their fathers وَأَزْوَٰجِهِمْ and their spouses وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِهِمْ ۚ and their offspring إِنَّكَ Indeed You أَنتَ You ٱلْعَزِيزُ (are) the All-Mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise ٨
Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their forefathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
— Come To Light
وَقِهِمُ And protect them ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚ (from) the evils وَمَن And whoever تَقِ you protect ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ (from) the evils يَوْمَئِذٍۢ that Day فَقَدْ then verily رَحِمْتَهُۥ ۚ You have bestowed mercy on him وَذَٰلِكَ And that هُوَ [it] ٱلْفَوْزُ (is) the success ٱلْعَظِيمُ the great ٩
And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment."
— Come To Light
إِنَّ Indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved يُنَادَوْنَ will be cried out to them لَمَقْتُ Certainly Allah's hatred ٱللَّهِ Certainly Allah's hatred أَكْبَرُ (was) greater مِن than مَّقْتِكُمْ your hatred أَنفُسَكُمْ (of) yourselves إِذْ when تُدْعَوْنَ you were called إِلَى to ٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ the faith فَتَكْفُرُونَ and you disbelieved ١٠
Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allāh for you was [even] greater than your hatred of yourselves [this Day in Hell] when you were invited to faith, but you disbelieved [i.e., refused]."
— Come To Light
قَالُوا۟ They (will) say رَبَّنَآ Our Lord أَمَتَّنَا You gave us death ٱثْنَتَيْنِ twice وَأَحْيَيْتَنَا and You gave us life ٱثْنَتَيْنِ twice فَٱعْتَرَفْنَا and we confess بِذُنُوبِنَا our sins فَهَلْ So is (there) إِلَىٰ to خُرُوجٍۢ get out مِّن any سَبِيلٍۢ way ١١
They will say, "Our Lord, You made us lifeless twice and gave us life twice, and we have confessed our sins. So is there to an exit any way?"
— Come To Light
ذَٰلِكُم That بِأَنَّهُۥٓ (is) because إِذَا when دُعِىَ Allah was invoked ٱللَّهُ Allah was invoked وَحْدَهُۥ Alone كَفَرْتُمْ ۖ you disbelieved وَإِن but if يُشْرَكْ (others) were associated بِهِۦ with Him تُؤْمِنُوا۟ ۚ you believed فَٱلْحُكْمُ So the judgment لِلَّهِ (is) with Allah ٱلْعَلِىِّ the Most High ٱلْكَبِيرِ the Most Great ١٢
[They will be told], "That is because, when Allāh was called upon alone, you disbelieved; but if others were associated with Him, you believed. So the judgement is with Allāh, the Most High, the Grand."
— Come To Light
هُوَ He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who يُرِيكُمْ shows you ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ His Signs وَيُنَزِّلُ and sends down لَكُم for you مِّنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky رِزْقًۭا ۚ provision وَمَا But (does) not يَتَذَكَّرُ take heed إِلَّا except مَن (one) who يُنِيبُ turns ١٣
It is He who shows you His signs and sends down to you from the sky, provision. But none will remember except he who turns back [in repentance].
— Come To Light
فَٱدْعُوا۟ So invoke ٱللَّهَ Allah مُخْلِصِينَ (being) sincere لَهُ to Him ٱلدِّينَ (in) the religion وَلَوْ even though كَرِهَ dislike (it) ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ the disbelievers ١٤
So invoke Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion, although the disbelievers dislike it.
— Come To Light
رَفِيعُ Possessor of the Highest Ranks ٱلدَّرَجَـٰتِ Possessor of the Highest Ranks ذُو Owner (of) the Throne ٱلْعَرْشِ Owner (of) the Throne يُلْقِى He places ٱلرُّوحَ the inspiration مِنْ of أَمْرِهِۦ His Command عَلَىٰ upon مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills مِنْ of عِبَادِهِۦ His slaves لِيُنذِرَ to warn يَوْمَ (of the) Day ٱلتَّلَاقِ (of) the Meeting ١٥
[He is] the Exalted above [all] degrees, Owner of the Throne; He places the inspiration of His command [i.e., revelation] upon whom He wills of His servants to warn of the Day of Meeting.
— Come To Light
يَوْمَ (The) Day هُم they بَـٰرِزُونَ ۖ come forth لَا not يَخْفَىٰ is hidden عَلَى from ٱللَّهِ Allah مِنْهُمْ about them شَىْءٌۭ ۚ anything لِّمَنِ For whom ٱلْمُلْكُ (is) the Dominion ٱلْيَوْمَ ۖ this Day لِلَّهِ For Allah ٱلْوَٰحِدِ the One ٱلْقَهَّارِ the Irresistible ١٦
The Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from Allāh. To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To Allāh, the One, the Prevailing.
— Come To Light
ٱلْيَوْمَ This Day تُجْزَىٰ will be recompensed كُلُّ every نَفْسٍۭ soul بِمَا for what كَسَبَتْ ۚ it earned لَا No ظُلْمَ injustice ٱلْيَوْمَ ۚ today إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah سَرِيعُ (is) Swift ٱلْحِسَابِ (in) Account ١٧
This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. No injustice today! Indeed, Allāh is swift in account.
— Come To Light
وَأَنذِرْهُمْ And warn them يَوْمَ (of the) Day ٱلْـَٔازِفَةِ the Approaching إِذِ when ٱلْقُلُوبُ the hearts لَدَى (are) at ٱلْحَنَاجِرِ the throats كَـٰظِمِينَ ۚ choked مَا Not لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ for the wrongdoers مِنْ any حَمِيمٍۢ intimate friend وَلَا and no شَفِيعٍۢ intercessor يُطَاعُ (who) is obeyed ١٨
And warn them, [O Muḥammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed.
— Come To Light
يَعْلَمُ He knows خَآئِنَةَ (the) stealthy glance ٱلْأَعْيُنِ (the) stealthy glance وَمَا and what تُخْفِى conceal ٱلصُّدُورُ the breasts ١٩
He knows that which deceives the eyes and what the breasts conceal.
— Come To Light
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah يَقْضِى judges بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ in truth وَٱلَّذِينَ while those (whom) يَدْعُونَ they invoke مِن besides Him دُونِهِۦ besides Him لَا not يَقْضُونَ they judge بِشَىْءٍ ۗ with anything إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah هُوَ He ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearer ٱلْبَصِيرُ the All-Seer ٢٠
And Allāh judges with truth, while those they invoke besides Him judge not with anything. Indeed, Allāh - He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
— Come To Light
۞ أَوَلَمْ Do not يَسِيرُوا۟ they travel فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth فَيَنظُرُوا۟ and see كَيْفَ how كَانَ was عَـٰقِبَةُ (the) end ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who كَانُوا۟ were مِن before them قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ before them كَانُوا۟ They were هُمْ [they] أَشَدَّ superior مِنْهُمْ to them قُوَّةًۭ (in) strength وَءَاثَارًۭا and (in) impressions فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the land فَأَخَذَهُمُ but Allah seized them ٱللَّهُ but Allah seized them بِذُنُوبِهِمْ for their sins وَمَا and not كَانَ was لَهُم for them مِّنَ against ٱللَّهِ Allah مِن any وَاقٍۢ protector ٢١
Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in impression on the land, but Allāh seized them for their sins. And they had not from Allāh any protector.
— Come To Light
ذَٰلِكَ That بِأَنَّهُمْ (was) because [they] كَانَت used to come to them تَّأْتِيهِمْ used to come to them رُسُلُهُم their Messengers بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ with clear proofs فَكَفَرُوا۟ but they disbelieved فَأَخَذَهُمُ So Allah seized them ٱللَّهُ ۚ So Allah seized them إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He قَوِىٌّۭ (is) All-Strong شَدِيدُ severe ٱلْعِقَابِ (in) punishment ٢٢
That was because their messengers were coming to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved, so Allāh seized them. Indeed, He is Powerful and severe in punishment.
— Come To Light
وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مُوسَىٰ Musa بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا with Our Signs وَسُلْطَـٰنٍۢ and an authority مُّبِينٍ clear ٢٣
And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority
— Come To Light
إِلَىٰ To فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun وَهَـٰمَـٰنَ Haman وَقَـٰرُونَ and Qarun فَقَالُوا۟ but they said سَـٰحِرٌۭ A magician كَذَّابٌۭ a liar ٢٤
To Pharaoh, Hāmān and Qārūn, but they said, "[He is] a magician and a liar."
— Come To Light
فَلَمَّا Then when جَآءَهُم he brought to them بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth مِنْ from عِندِنَا Us قَالُوا۟ they said ٱقْتُلُوٓا۟ Kill أَبْنَآءَ (the) sons ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe مَعَهُۥ with him وَٱسْتَحْيُوا۟ and let live نِسَآءَهُمْ ۚ their women وَمَا And not كَيْدُ (is the) plot ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ (of) the disbelievers إِلَّا but فِى in ضَلَـٰلٍۢ error ٢٥
And when he brought them the truth from Us, they said, "Kill the sons of those who have believed with him and keep their women alive." But the plan of the disbelievers is not except in error.
— Come To Light
وَقَالَ And said فِرْعَوْنُ Firaun ذَرُونِىٓ Leave me أَقْتُلْ (so that) I kill مُوسَىٰ Musa وَلْيَدْعُ and let him call رَبَّهُۥٓ ۖ his Lord إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أَخَافُ [I] fear أَن that يُبَدِّلَ he will change دِينَكُمْ your religion أَوْ or أَن that يُظْهِرَ he may cause to appear فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the land ٱلْفَسَادَ the corruption ٢٦
And Pharaoh said, "Let me kill Moses and let him call upon his Lord. Indeed, I fear that he will change your religion or that he will cause corruption in the land."
— Come To Light
وَقَالَ And said مُوسَىٰٓ Musa إِنِّى Indeed, I عُذْتُ [I] seek refuge بِرَبِّى in my Lord وَرَبِّكُم and your Lord مِّن from كُلِّ every مُتَكَبِّرٍۢ arrogant one لَّا not يُؤْمِنُ who believes بِيَوْمِ (in the) Day ٱلْحِسَابِ (of) the Account ٢٧
But Moses said, "Indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Account."
— Come To Light
وَقَالَ And said رَجُلٌۭ a man مُّؤْمِنٌۭ believing مِّنْ from ءَالِ (the) family فِرْعَوْنَ (of) Firaun يَكْتُمُ who conceal(ed) إِيمَـٰنَهُۥٓ his faith أَتَقْتُلُونَ Will you kill رَجُلًا a man أَن because يَقُولَ he says رَبِّىَ My Lord ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah وَقَدْ and indeed جَآءَكُم he has brought you بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ clear proofs مِن from رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ your Lord وَإِن And if يَكُ he is كَـٰذِبًۭا a liar فَعَلَيْهِ then upon him كَذِبُهُۥ ۖ (is) his lie وَإِن and if يَكُ he is صَادِقًۭا truthful يُصِبْكُم (there) will strike you بَعْضُ some (of) ٱلَّذِى (that) which يَعِدُكُمْ ۖ he threatens you إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَهْدِى guide مَنْ (one) who هُوَ [he] مُسْرِفٌۭ (is) a transgressor كَذَّابٌۭ a liar ٢٨
And a believing man from the family of Pharaoh who concealed his faith said, "Do you kill a man [merely] because he says, 'My Lord is Allāh' while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he should be lying, then upon him is [the consequence of] his lie; but if he should be truthful, there will strike you some of what he promises you. Indeed, Allāh does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar.
— Come To Light
يَـٰقَوْمِ O my people لَكُمُ For you ٱلْمُلْكُ (is) the kingdom ٱلْيَوْمَ today ظَـٰهِرِينَ dominant فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the land فَمَن but who يَنصُرُنَا will help us مِنۢ from بَأْسِ (the) punishment ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah إِن if جَآءَنَا ۚ it came to us قَالَ Said فِرْعَوْنُ Firaun مَآ Not أُرِيكُمْ I show you إِلَّا except مَآ what أَرَىٰ I see وَمَآ and not أَهْدِيكُمْ I guide you إِلَّا except سَبِيلَ (to the) path ٱلرَّشَادِ the right ٢٩
O my people, sovereignty is yours today, [your being] dominant in the land. But who would protect us from the punishment of Allāh if it came to us?" Pharaoh said, "I do not show you except what I see, and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct."
— Come To Light
وَقَالَ And said ٱلَّذِىٓ (he) who ءَامَنَ believed يَـٰقَوْمِ O my people إِنِّىٓ Indeed I أَخَافُ [I] fear عَلَيْكُم for you مِّثْلَ like يَوْمِ (the) day ٱلْأَحْزَابِ (of) the companies ٣٠
And he who believed said, "O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies -
— Come To Light
مِثْلَ Like دَأْبِ (the) plight قَوْمِ (of the) people نُوحٍۢ (of) Nuh وَعَادٍۢ and Aad وَثَمُودَ and Thamud وَٱلَّذِينَ and those مِنۢ after them بَعْدِهِمْ ۚ after them وَمَا And Allah (does) not ٱللَّهُ And Allah (does) not يُرِيدُ want ظُلْمًۭا injustice لِّلْعِبَادِ for (His) slaves ٣١
Like the custom of the people of Noah and of ʿAad and Thamūd and those after them. And Allāh wants no injustice for [His] servants.
— Come To Light
وَيَـٰقَوْمِ And O my people إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أَخَافُ [I] fear عَلَيْكُمْ for you يَوْمَ (the) Day ٱلتَّنَادِ (of) Calling ٣٢
And O my people, indeed I fear for you the Day of Calling -
— Come To Light
يَوْمَ A Day تُوَلُّونَ you will turn back مُدْبِرِينَ fleeing مَا not لَكُم for you مِّنَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah مِنْ any عَاصِمٍۢ ۗ protector وَمَن And whoever يُضْلِلِ Allah lets go astray ٱللَّهُ Allah lets go astray فَمَا then not لَهُۥ for him مِنْ any هَادٍۢ guide ٣٣
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allāh any protector. And whoever Allāh sends astray - there is not for him any guide.
— Come To Light
وَلَقَدْ And indeed جَآءَكُمْ came to you يُوسُفُ Yusuf مِن before قَبْلُ before بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ with clear proofs فَمَا but not زِلْتُمْ you ceased فِى in شَكٍّۢ doubt مِّمَّا about what جَآءَكُم he brought to you بِهِۦ ۖ [with it] حَتَّىٰٓ until إِذَا when هَلَكَ he died قُلْتُمْ you said لَن Never يَبْعَثَ will Allah raise ٱللَّهُ will Allah raise مِنۢ after him بَعْدِهِۦ after him رَسُولًۭا ۚ a Messenger كَذَٰلِكَ Thus يُضِلُّ Allah lets go astray ٱللَّهُ Allah lets go astray مَنْ who هُوَ [he] مُسْرِفٌۭ (is) a transgressor مُّرْتَابٌ a doubter ٣٤
And Joseph had already come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt of that which he brought to you, until when he died, you said, 'Never will Allāh send a messenger after him.' Thus does Allāh leave astray he who is a transgressor and skeptic."
— Come To Light
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يُجَـٰدِلُونَ dispute فِىٓ concerning ءَايَـٰتِ (the) Signs ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah بِغَيْرِ without سُلْطَـٰنٍ any authority أَتَىٰهُمْ ۖ (having) come to them كَبُرَ (it) is greatly مَقْتًا hateful عِندَ near Allah ٱللَّهِ near Allah وَعِندَ and near ٱلَّذِينَ those ءَامَنُوا۟ ۚ who believe كَذَٰلِكَ Thus يَطْبَعُ Allah sets a seal ٱللَّهُ Allah sets a seal عَلَىٰ over كُلِّ every قَلْبِ heart مُتَكَبِّرٍۢ (of) an arrogant جَبَّارٍۢ tyrant ٣٥
Those who dispute concerning the signs of Allāh without an authority having come to them - great is hatred [of them] in the sight of Allāh and in the sight of those who have believed. Thus does Allāh seal over every heart [belonging to] an arrogant tyrant.
— Come To Light
وَقَالَ And said فِرْعَوْنُ Firaun يَـٰهَـٰمَـٰنُ O Haman ٱبْنِ Construct لِى for me صَرْحًۭا a tower لَّعَلِّىٓ that I may أَبْلُغُ reach ٱلْأَسْبَـٰبَ the ways ٣٦
And Pharaoh said, "O Hāmān, construct for me a tower that I might reach the ways -
— Come To Light
أَسْبَـٰبَ (The) ways ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (to) the heavens فَأَطَّلِعَ so I may look إِلَىٰٓ at إِلَـٰهِ (the) God مُوسَىٰ (of) Musa وَإِنِّى and indeed, I لَأَظُنُّهُۥ [I] surely think him كَـٰذِبًۭا ۚ (to be) a liar وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus زُيِّنَ was made fair-seeming لِفِرْعَوْنَ to Firaun سُوٓءُ (the) evil عَمَلِهِۦ (of) his deed وَصُدَّ and he was averted عَنِ from ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۚ the way وَمَا And not كَيْدُ (was the) plot فِرْعَوْنَ (of) Firaun إِلَّا except فِى in تَبَابٍۢ ruin ٣٧
The ways into the heavens - so that I may look at the deity of Moses; but indeed, I think he is a liar." And thus was made attractive to Pharaoh the evil of his deed, and he was averted from the [right] way. And the plan of Pharaoh was not except in ruin.
— Come To Light
وَقَالَ And said ٱلَّذِىٓ the one who ءَامَنَ believed يَـٰقَوْمِ O my people ٱتَّبِعُونِ Follow me أَهْدِكُمْ I will guide you سَبِيلَ (to the) way ٱلرَّشَادِ the right ٣٨
And he who believed said, "O my people, follow me; I will guide you to the way of right conduct.
— Come To Light
يَـٰقَوْمِ O my people إِنَّمَا Only هَـٰذِهِ this ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world مَتَـٰعٌۭ (is) enjoyment وَإِنَّ and indeed ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ the Hereafter هِىَ it دَارُ (is the) home ٱلْقَرَارِ (of) settlement ٣٩
O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement.
— Come To Light
مَنْ Whoever عَمِلَ does سَيِّئَةًۭ an evil فَلَا then not يُجْزَىٰٓ he will be recompensed إِلَّا but مِثْلَهَا ۖ (the) like thereof وَمَنْ and whoever عَمِلَ does صَـٰلِحًۭا righteous (deeds) مِّن of ذَكَرٍ male أَوْ or أُنثَىٰ female وَهُوَ while he مُؤْمِنٌۭ (is) a believer فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those يَدْخُلُونَ will enter ٱلْجَنَّةَ Paradise يُرْزَقُونَ they will be given provision فِيهَا in it بِغَيْرِ without حِسَابٍۢ account ٤٠
Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, being given provision therein without account.
— Come To Light
۞ وَيَـٰقَوْمِ And O my people مَا What (is) لِىٓ for me أَدْعُوكُمْ (that) I call you إِلَى to ٱلنَّجَوٰةِ the salvation وَتَدْعُونَنِىٓ while you call me إِلَى to ٱلنَّارِ the Fire ٤١
And O my people, how is it that I invite you to salvation while you invite me to the Fire?
— Come To Light
تَدْعُونَنِى You call me لِأَكْفُرَ that I disbelieve بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَأُشْرِكَ and (to) associate بِهِۦ with Him مَا what لَيْسَ not لِى for me بِهِۦ of it عِلْمٌۭ any knowledge وَأَنَا۠ and I أَدْعُوكُمْ call you إِلَى to ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty ٱلْغَفَّـٰرِ the Oft-Forgiving ٤٢
You invite me to disbelieve in Allāh and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.
— Come To Light
لَا No جَرَمَ doubt أَنَّمَا that what تَدْعُونَنِىٓ you call me إِلَيْهِ to it لَيْسَ not لَهُۥ for it دَعْوَةٌۭ a claim فِى in ٱلدُّنْيَا the world وَلَا and not فِى in ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ the Hereafter وَأَنَّ and that مَرَدَّنَآ our return إِلَى (is) to ٱللَّهِ Allah وَأَنَّ and that ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ the transgressors هُمْ they أَصْحَـٰبُ (will be the) companions ٱلنَّارِ (of) the Fire ٤٣
Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] supplication in this world or in the Hereafter; and indeed, our return is to Allāh, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire.
— Come To Light
فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ And you will remember مَآ what أَقُولُ I say لَكُمْ ۚ to you وَأُفَوِّضُ and I entrust أَمْرِىٓ my affair إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ ۚ Allah إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah بَصِيرٌۢ (is) All-Seer بِٱلْعِبَادِ of (His) slaves ٤٤
And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Seeing of [His] servants."
— Come To Light
فَوَقَىٰهُ So Allah protected him ٱللَّهُ So Allah protected him سَيِّـَٔاتِ (from the) evils مَا that مَكَرُوا۟ ۖ they plotted وَحَاقَ and enveloped بِـَٔالِ (the) people فِرْعَوْنَ (of) Firaun سُوٓءُ (the) worst ٱلْعَذَابِ punishment ٤٥
So Allāh protected him from the evils they plotted, and the people of Pharaoh were enveloped by the worst of punishment -
— Come To Light
ٱلنَّارُ The Fire يُعْرَضُونَ they are exposed عَلَيْهَا to it غُدُوًّۭا morning وَعَشِيًّۭا ۖ and evening وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day تَقُومُ (will be) established ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour أَدْخِلُوٓا۟ Cause to enter ءَالَ (the) people فِرْعَوْنَ (of) Firaun أَشَدَّ (in the) severest ٱلْعَذَابِ punishment ٤٦
The Fire; they are exposed to it morning and evening. And the Day the Hour appears [it will be said], "Make the people of Pharaoh enter the severest punishment."
— Come To Light
وَإِذْ And when يَتَحَآجُّونَ they will dispute فِى in ٱلنَّارِ the Fire فَيَقُولُ then will say ٱلضُّعَفَـٰٓؤُا۟ the weak لِلَّذِينَ to those who ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ were arrogant إِنَّا Indeed, we كُنَّا [we] were لَكُمْ for you تَبَعًۭا followers فَهَلْ so can أَنتُم you مُّغْنُونَ avert عَنَّا from us نَصِيبًۭا a portion مِّنَ of ٱلنَّارِ the Fire ٤٧
And [mention] when they will argue within the Fire, and the weak will say to those who had been arrogant, "Indeed, we were [only] your followers, so will you relieve us of a share of the Fire?"
— Come To Light
قَالَ Will say ٱلَّذِينَ those who ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ (were) arrogant إِنَّا Indeed, we كُلٌّۭ all فِيهَآ (are) in it إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah قَدْ certainly حَكَمَ has judged بَيْنَ between ٱلْعِبَادِ (His) slaves ٤٨
Those who had been arrogant will say, "Indeed, all [of us] are in it. Indeed, Allāh has judged between the servants."
— Come To Light
وَقَالَ And will say ٱلَّذِينَ those فِى in ٱلنَّارِ the Fire لِخَزَنَةِ to (the) keepers جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell ٱدْعُوا۟ Call رَبَّكُمْ your Lord يُخَفِّفْ (to) lighten عَنَّا for us يَوْمًۭا a day مِّنَ of ٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment ٤٩
And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us a day from the punishment."
— Come To Light
قَالُوٓا۟ They (will) say أَوَلَمْ Did there not تَكُ Did there not تَأْتِيكُمْ come to you رُسُلُكُم your Messengers بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ ۖ with clear proofs قَالُوا۟ They (will) say بَلَىٰ ۚ Yes قَالُوا۟ They (will) say فَٱدْعُوا۟ ۗ Then call وَمَا but not دُعَـٰٓؤُا۟ (is the) call ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ (of) the disbelievers إِلَّا except فِى in ضَلَـٰلٍ error ٥٠
They will say, "Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in error [i.e., futility]."
— Come To Light
إِنَّا Indeed We لَنَنصُرُ We will surely help رُسُلَنَا Our Messengers وَٱلَّذِينَ and those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe فِى in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world وَيَوْمَ and (on the) Day يَقُومُ (when) will stand ٱلْأَشْهَـٰدُ the witnesses ٥١
Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand -
— Come To Light
يَوْمَ (The) Day لَا not يَنفَعُ will benefit ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ ۖ their excuse وَلَهُمُ and for them ٱللَّعْنَةُ (is) the curse وَلَهُمْ and for them سُوٓءُ (is the) worst ٱلدَّارِ home ٥٢
The Day their excuse will not benefit the wrongdoers, and they will have the curse, and they will have the worst home [i.e., Hell].
— Come To Light
وَلَقَدْ And certainly ءَاتَيْنَا We gave مُوسَى Musa ٱلْهُدَىٰ the guidance وَأَوْرَثْنَا and We caused to inherit بَنِىٓ (the) Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (the) Children of Israel ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Book ٥٣
And We had certainly given Moses guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture
— Come To Light
هُدًۭى A guide وَذِكْرَىٰ and a reminder لِأُو۟لِى for those ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ (of) understanding ٥٤
As guidance and a reminder for those of understanding.
— Come To Light
فَٱصْبِرْ So be patient إِنَّ indeed وَعْدَ (the) Promise of Allah ٱللَّهِ (the) Promise of Allah حَقٌّۭ (is) true وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ And ask forgiveness لِذَنۢبِكَ for your sin وَسَبِّحْ and glorify بِحَمْدِ (the) praise رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord بِٱلْعَشِىِّ in the evening وَٱلْإِبْكَـٰرِ and the morning ٥٥
So be patient, [O Muḥammad]. Indeed, the promise of Allāh is truth. And ask forgiveness for your sin and exalt [Allāh] with praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning.
— Come To Light
إِنَّ Indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who يُجَـٰدِلُونَ dispute فِىٓ concerning ءَايَـٰتِ (the) Signs ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah بِغَيْرِ without سُلْطَـٰنٍ any authority أَتَىٰهُمْ ۙ (which) came to them إِن not فِى (is) in صُدُورِهِمْ their breasts إِلَّا but كِبْرٌۭ greatness مَّا not هُم they بِبَـٰلِغِيهِ ۚ (can) reach it فَٱسْتَعِذْ So seek refuge بِٱللَّهِ ۖ in Allah إِنَّهُۥ Indeed He هُوَ He ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearer ٱلْبَصِيرُ the All-Seer ٥٦
Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allāh without [any] evidence having come to them - there is not within their breasts except pride, [the extent of] which they cannot reach. So seek refuge in Allāh. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Seeing.
— Come To Light
لَخَلْقُ Surely, (the) creation ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth أَكْبَرُ (is) greater مِنْ than خَلْقِ (the) creation ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the mankind وَلَـٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَ most ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know ٥٧
The creation of the heavens and earth is greater than the creation of mankind, but most of the people do not know.
— Come To Light
وَمَا And not يَسْتَوِى (are) equal ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ the blind وَٱلْبَصِيرُ and the seeing وَٱلَّذِينَ and those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ righteous deeds وَلَا and not ٱلْمُسِىٓءُ ۚ the evildoer قَلِيلًۭا Little مَّا (is) what تَتَذَكَّرُونَ you take heed ٥٨
And not equal are the blind and the seeing, nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds and the evildoer. Little do you remember.
— Come To Light
إِنَّ Indeed ٱلسَّاعَةَ the Hour لَـَٔاتِيَةٌۭ (is) surely coming لَّا no رَيْبَ doubt فِيهَا in it وَلَـٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَ most ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe ٥٩
Indeed, the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - but most of the people do not believe.
— Come To Light
وَقَالَ And said رَبُّكُمُ your Lord ٱدْعُونِىٓ Call upon Me أَسْتَجِبْ I will respond لَكُمْ ۚ to you إِنَّ Indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ (are) proud عَنْ to عِبَادَتِى worship Me سَيَدْخُلُونَ will enter جَهَنَّمَ Hell دَاخِرِينَ (in) humiliation ٦٠
And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible.
— Come To Light
ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made لَكُمُ for you ٱلَّيْلَ the night لِتَسْكُنُوا۟ that you may rest فِيهِ in it وَٱلنَّهَارَ and the day مُبْصِرًا ۚ giving visibility إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah لَذُو (is) Full (of) Bounty فَضْلٍ (is) Full (of) Bounty عَلَى to ٱلنَّاسِ the people وَلَـٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَ most ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people لَا (do) not يَشْكُرُونَ give thanks ٦١
It is Allāh who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day giving sight. Indeed, Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of them are not grateful.
— Come To Light
ذَٰلِكُمُ That ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah رَبُّكُمْ your Lord خَـٰلِقُ (the) Creator كُلِّ (of) all شَىْءٍۢ things لَّآ (there is) no إِلَـٰهَ god إِلَّا except هُوَ ۖ Him فَأَنَّىٰ So how تُؤْفَكُونَ are you deluded ٦٢
That is Allāh, your Lord, Creator of all things; there is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?
— Come To Light
كَذَٰلِكَ Thus يُؤْفَكُ were deluded ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَانُوا۟ were بِـَٔايَـٰتِ (the) Signs ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah يَجْحَدُونَ rejecting ٦٣
Thus were those [before you] deluded who were rejecting the signs of Allāh.
— Come To Light
ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made لَكُمُ for you ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth قَرَارًۭا a place of settlement وَٱلسَّمَآءَ and the sky بِنَآءًۭ a canopy وَصَوَّرَكُمْ and He formed you فَأَحْسَنَ and perfected صُوَرَكُمْ your forms وَرَزَقَكُم and provided you مِّنَ of ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ ۚ the good things ذَٰلِكُمُ That ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah رَبُّكُمْ ۖ your Lord فَتَبَارَكَ Then blessed (is) ٱللَّهُ Allah رَبُّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds ٦٤
It is Allāh who made for you the earth a place of settlement and the sky a structure [i.e., ceiling] and formed you and perfected your forms and provided you with good things. That is Allāh, your Lord; then blessed is Allāh, Lord of the worlds.
— Come To Light
هُوَ He ٱلْحَىُّ (is) the Ever-Living لَآ (there is) no إِلَـٰهَ god إِلَّا but هُوَ He فَٱدْعُوهُ so call Him مُخْلِصِينَ (being) sincere لَهُ to Him ٱلدِّينَ ۗ (in) the religion ٱلْحَمْدُ All praise (be) لِلَّهِ to Allah رَبِّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds ٦٥
He is the Ever-Living; there is no deity except Him, so call upon Him, [being] sincere to Him in religion. [All] praise is [due] to Allāh, Lord of the worlds.
— Come To Light
۞ قُلْ Say إِنِّى Indeed, I نُهِيتُ [I] have been forbidden أَنْ to أَعْبُدَ worship ٱلَّذِينَ those whom تَدْعُونَ you call مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah لَمَّا when جَآءَنِىَ have come to me ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتُ the clear proofs مِن from رَّبِّى my Lord وَأُمِرْتُ and I am commanded أَنْ to أُسْلِمَ submit لِرَبِّ to (the) Lord ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds ٦٦
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you call upon besides Allāh once the clear proofs have come to me from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds."
— Come To Light
هُوَ He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَكُم created you مِّن from تُرَابٍۢ dust ثُمَّ then مِن from نُّطْفَةٍۢ a semen-drop ثُمَّ then مِنْ from عَلَقَةٍۢ a clinging substance ثُمَّ then يُخْرِجُكُمْ He brings you out طِفْلًۭا (as) a child ثُمَّ then لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ lets you reach أَشُدَّكُمْ your maturity ثُمَّ then لِتَكُونُوا۟ lets you become شُيُوخًۭا ۚ old وَمِنكُم and among you مَّن (is he) who يُتَوَفَّىٰ dies مِن before قَبْلُ ۖ before وَلِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ and lets you reach أَجَلًۭا a term مُّسَمًّۭى specified وَلَعَلَّكُمْ and that you may تَعْقِلُونَ use reason ٦٧
It is He who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot; then He brings you out as a child; then [He develops you] that you reach your [time of] maturity, then [further] that you become elders. And among you is he who is taken in death before [that], so that you reach a specified term; and perhaps you will use reason.
— Come To Light
هُوَ He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who يُحْىِۦ gives life وَيُمِيتُ ۖ and causes death فَإِذَا And when قَضَىٰٓ He decrees أَمْرًۭا a matter فَإِنَّمَا then only يَقُولُ He says لَهُۥ to it كُن Be فَيَكُونُ and it is ٦٨
He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is.
— Come To Light
أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see إِلَى [to] ٱلَّذِينَ those who يُجَـٰدِلُونَ dispute فِىٓ concerning ءَايَـٰتِ (the) Signs ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah أَنَّىٰ How يُصْرَفُونَ they are turned away ٦٩
Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allāh - how are they averted?
— Come To Light
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who كَذَّبُوا۟ deny بِٱلْكِتَـٰبِ the Book وَبِمَآ and with what أَرْسَلْنَا We sent بِهِۦ with it رُسُلَنَا ۖ Our Messengers فَسَوْفَ but soon يَعْلَمُونَ they will know ٧٠
Those who deny the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] and that with which We sent Our messengers - they are going to know,
— Come To Light
إِذِ When ٱلْأَغْلَـٰلُ the iron collars فِىٓ (will be) around أَعْنَـٰقِهِمْ their necks وَٱلسَّلَـٰسِلُ and the chains يُسْحَبُونَ they will be dragged ٧١
When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged
— Come To Light
فِى In ٱلْحَمِيمِ the boiling water ثُمَّ then فِى in ٱلنَّارِ the Fire يُسْجَرُونَ they will be burned ٧٢
In boiling water; then in the Fire they will be filled [with flame].
— Come To Light
ثُمَّ Then قِيلَ it will be said لَهُمْ to them أَيْنَ Where مَا (is) that which كُنتُمْ you used to تُشْرِكُونَ associate ٧٣
Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship]
— Come To Light
مِن Other than دُونِ Other than ٱللَّهِ ۖ Allah قَالُوا۟ They will say ضَلُّوا۟ They have departed عَنَّا from us بَل Nay لَّمْ Not نَكُن we used to نَّدْعُوا۟ [we] call مِن before قَبْلُ before شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ anything كَذَٰلِكَ Thus يُضِلُّ Allah lets go astray ٱللَّهُ Allah lets go astray ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers ٧٤
Other than Allāh?" They will say, "They have departed from us; rather, we did not used to invoke previously anything." Thus does Allāh put astray the disbelievers.
— Come To Light
ذَٰلِكُم That was بِمَا because كُنتُمْ you used to تَفْرَحُونَ rejoice فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth بِغَيْرِ without ٱلْحَقِّ right وَبِمَا and because كُنتُمْ you used to تَمْرَحُونَ be insolent ٧٥
[The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently.
— Come To Light
ٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ Enter أَبْوَٰبَ (the) gates جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell خَـٰلِدِينَ (to) abide forever فِيهَا ۖ in it فَبِئْسَ and wretched is مَثْوَى (the) abode ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ (of) the arrogant ٧٦
Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant."
— Come To Light
فَٱصْبِرْ So be patient إِنَّ indeed وَعْدَ (the) Promise ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah حَقٌّۭ ۚ (is) true فَإِمَّا And whether نُرِيَنَّكَ We show you بَعْضَ some ٱلَّذِى (of) what نَعِدُهُمْ We have promised them أَوْ or نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ We cause you to die فَإِلَيْنَا then to Us يُرْجَعُونَ they will be returned ٧٧
So be patient, [O Muḥammad]; indeed, the promise of Allāh is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned.
— Come To Light
وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَرْسَلْنَا We have sent رُسُلًۭا Messengers مِّن before you قَبْلِكَ before you مِنْهُم Among them مَّن (are) who قَصَصْنَا We have related عَلَيْكَ to you وَمِنْهُم and among them مَّن (are) who لَّمْ not نَقْصُصْ We have related عَلَيْكَ ۗ to you وَمَا And not كَانَ is لِرَسُولٍ for any Messenger أَن that يَأْتِىَ he brings بِـَٔايَةٍ a Sign إِلَّا except بِإِذْنِ by (the) permission ٱللَّهِ ۚ (of) Allah فَإِذَا So when جَآءَ comes أَمْرُ (the) Command ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah قُضِىَ it will be decided بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth وَخَسِرَ and will lose هُنَالِكَ there ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ the falsifiers ٧٨
And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of Allāh. So when the command of Allāh comes, it will be concluded [i.e., judged] in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all].
— Come To Light
ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made لَكُمُ for you ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمَ the cattle لِتَرْكَبُوا۟ that you may ride مِنْهَا some of them وَمِنْهَا and some of them تَأْكُلُونَ you eat ٧٩
It is Allāh who made for you the grazing animals upon which you ride, and some of them you eat.
— Come To Light
وَلَكُمْ And for you فِيهَا in them مَنَـٰفِعُ (are) benefits وَلِتَبْلُغُوا۟ and that you may reach عَلَيْهَا through them حَاجَةًۭ a need فِى (that is) in صُدُورِكُمْ your breasts وَعَلَيْهَا and upon them وَعَلَى and upon ٱلْفُلْكِ the ships تُحْمَلُونَ you are carried ٨٠
And for you therein are [other] benefits and that you may realize upon them a need which is in your breasts; and upon them and upon ships you are carried.
