The Story of Prophet Nuh (English) • The Mission: After humanity drifted away from the path of monotheism and started worshipping idols, Allah sent Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) as His messenger to call people back to the worship of the one true God. • The Long Struggle: Nuh (AS) preached to his people day and night—openly and in secret—for 950 years. Despite his persistent efforts, most people, especially the wealthy and influential leaders, mocked him, rejected his message, and accused him of being an ordinary man telling lies. Only a small group of mostly poor and weak people believed in him. • Building the Ark: After centuries of rejection, Allah informed Nuh (AS) that no more of his people would believe. Allah commanded him to build a giant ark (ship) with divine guidance. Nuh (AS) built the ark on dry land far from any water, which caused the disbelievers to ridicule and laugh at him even more. • The Great Flood: When the ark was complete and the sign arrived (water gushing forth from a tannur/oven), Nuh (AS) gathered the believers and a pair (male and female) of every animal species into the ship. A catastrophic flood covered the entire earth, destroying all the disbelievers—including Nuh's own disobedient son and wife, who chose not to board. • Salvation: After the flood subsided, the ark safely came to rest on Mount Judi. Nuh (AS) and the believers stepped out onto the renewed earth in peace and gratitude to start a fresh community built on faith and righteousness. হযরত নুহ (আ.)-এর কাহিনী (Bangla / বাংলা) • হিদায়াতের ডাক: হযরত আদম (আ.) ও ইদ্রিচ (আ.)-এর পর মানুষ যখন আল্লাহর সঠিক পথ ভুলে গিয়ে মূর্তি পূজায় লিপ্ত হয়, তখন আল্লাহ মানুষকে এক আল্লাহর ইবাদতের দিকে ডাকতে হযরত নুহ (আ.)-কে রাসুল হিসেবে প্রেরণ করেন। • দীর্ঘ প্রচারকাল: নুহ (আ.) একটানা ৯৫০ বছর ধরে তার জাতিকে আল্লাহর দিকে আহ্বান জানান। কিন্তু সমাজের প্রতাপশালী ও ধনী ব্যক্তিরা তার কথা অস্বীকার করে, তাকে উপহাস করে এবং সাধারণ মানুষ বলে তাচ্ছিল্য করে। কেবল সমাজের কিছু অসহায় ও গরিব মানুষ তার ওপর ঈমান আনে। • নৌকা (কিশতি) নির্মাণ: দীর্ঘ বছর অতিবাহিত হওয়ার পর আল্লাহ নুহ (আ.)-কে জানিয়ে দেন যে, যারা ইতোমধ্যে ঈমান এনেছে তাদের বাইরে আর কেউ ঈমান আনবে না। এরপর আল্লাহর নির্দেশে নুহ (আ.) বিশাল এক নৌকা তৈরি করা শুরু করেন। মরুভূমি বা শুকনো জায়গায় নৌকা বানাতে দেখে অবিশ্বাসীরা তাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করতে থাকে। • মহাস প্লাবন: নৌকা তৈরি শেষ হলে এবং চুল্লি (তন্নুর) থেকে পানি উত্থিত হওয়ার নিদর্শন দেখা দিলে, নুহ (আ.) মুমিনদের এবং প্রত্যেক প্রাণীর এক জোড়া করে নৌকায় তুলে নেন। এরপর শুরু হয় ভয়াবহ মহাপ্লাবন, যাতে সমস্ত অবিশ্বাসী ও অবাধ্য জাতি ডুবে ধ্বংস হয়ে যায়—যার মধ্যে নুহ (আ.)-এর নিজের অবাধ্য পুত্রও ছিল। • নতুন সূচনা: পানি শুকিয়ে গেলে নৌকাটি জুদু পাহাড়ে গিয়ে স্থির হয়। নুহ (আ.) ও মুমিনগণ শান্তিতে ও কৃতজ্ঞচিত্তে নৌকা থেকে নেমে পৃথিবীতে নতুন ও পুণ্যবান জীবন শুরু করেন।
