Extravagance and Wastefulness
অপচয় ও অমিতব্যয়
وَءَاتِ ذَا ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُۥ وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَلَا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرًا إِنَّ ٱلْمُبَذِّرِينَ كَانُوٓا۟ إِخْوَٰنَ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ ۖ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لِرَبِّهِۦ كَفُورًا
আরবি থেকে বাংলা উচ্চারণ (Transliteration): ওয়া আতি যাল কুরবা হাক্কাহূ ওয়াল মিসকীনা ওয়াবনাস সাবীলি, ওয়ালা তুবাযযির তাবযীরা। ইন্নাল মুবাযযিরীনা কানূ ইখওয়ানাশ শায়াতীন, ওয়া কানাশ শাইতানু লিরাব্বিহী কাফূরা। সূরা আল-ইসরা, আয়াত ২৬–২৭ (১৭:২৬–২৭)
English
And give the relative his right, and [also] the poor and the traveler, and do not spend wastefully. Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful.
বাংলা
আর আত্মীয়-স্বজনকে তাদের প্রাপ্য অধিকার দাও এবং মিসকীন ও মুসাফিরদেরকেও, আর অপব্যয়ে অপচয় করো না। অপচয়কারীরা শয়তানের ভাই আর শয়তান তো তার প্রতিপালকের প্রতি না-শোকর।
Explanation
Give relatives, the needy and the traveller their due, but do not spend wastefully: the wasteful are brothers of the devils. Eat and drink, but do not be excessive.
