103. Surah Al-'Asr
The Declining Day · Makki · 3 Ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّ Indeed ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ mankind لَفِى (is) surely, in خُسْرٍ loss ٢
Indeed, mankind is in loss,
— Come To Light
إِلَّا Except ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ righteous deeds وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ and enjoin (each other) بِٱلْحَقِّ to the truth وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ and enjoin (each other) بِٱلصَّبْرِ to [the] patience ٣
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

surah104
104. Surah Al-Humazah
The Traducer · Makki · 9 Ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَيْلٌۭ Woe لِّكُلِّ to every هُمَزَةٍۢ slanderer لُّمَزَةٍ backbiter ١
Woe to every scorner and mocker
— Come To Light
ٱلَّذِى The one who جَمَعَ collects مَالًۭا wealth وَعَدَّدَهُۥ and counts it ٢
Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.
— Come To Light
يَحْسَبُ Thinking أَنَّ that مَالَهُۥٓ his wealth أَخْلَدَهُۥ will make him immortal ٣
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
— Come To Light
كَلَّا ۖ Nay لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ Surely he will be thrown فِى in ٱلْحُطَمَةِ the Crusher ٤
No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.
— Come To Light
وَمَآ And what أَدْرَىٰكَ will make you know مَا what ٱلْحُطَمَةُ the Crusher (is) ٥
And what can make you know what is the Crusher?
— Come To Light
نَارُ A Fire ٱللَّهِ Allah ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ kindled ٦
It is the fire of Allāh, [eternally] fueled,
— Come To Light
ٱلَّتِى Which تَطَّلِعُ mounts up عَلَى to ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ the hearts ٧
Which mounts directed at the hearts.
— Come To Light
إِنَّهَا Indeed, it عَلَيْهِم (will be) upon them مُّؤْصَدَةٌۭ closed over ٨
Indeed, it [i.e., Hellfire] will be closed down upon them
— Come To Light
فِى In عَمَدٍۢ columns مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ extended ٩
In extended columns.

surah105
105. Surah Al-Fil
The Elephant · Makki · 5 Ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
أَلَمْ Have not تَرَ you seen كَيْفَ how فَعَلَ dealt رَبُّكَ your Lord بِأَصْحَـٰبِ with (the) Companions ٱلْفِيلِ (of the) Elephant ١
Have you not considered, [O Muḥammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
— Come To Light
أَلَمْ Did not يَجْعَلْ He make كَيْدَهُمْ their plan فِى go تَضْلِيلٍۢ astray ٢
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?
— Come To Light
وَأَرْسَلَ And He sent عَلَيْهِمْ against them طَيْرًا birds أَبَابِيلَ (in) flocks ٣
And He sent against them birds in flocks,
— Come To Light
تَرْمِيهِم Striking them بِحِجَارَةٍۢ with stones مِّن of سِجِّيلٍۢ baked clay ٤
Striking them with stones of hard clay,
— Come To Light
فَجَعَلَهُمْ Then He made them كَعَصْفٍۢ like straw مَّأْكُولٍۭ eaten up ٥
And He made them like eaten straw.
