إِنَّ Indeed ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ mankind لِرَبِّهِۦ to his Lord لَكَنُودٌۭ (is) surely ungrateful ٦
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.
— Come To Light
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, he عَلَىٰ on ذَٰلِكَ that لَشَهِيدٌۭ surely (is) a witness ٧
And indeed, he is to that a witness.
— Come To Light
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed he لِحُبِّ in (the) love ٱلْخَيْرِ (of) wealth لَشَدِيدٌ (is) surely intense ٨
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
— Come To Light
۞ أَفَلَا But does not يَعْلَمُ he know إِذَا when بُعْثِرَ will be scattered مَا what فِى (is) in ٱلْقُبُورِ the graves ٩
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered
— Come To Light
وَحُصِّلَ And is made apparent مَا what فِى (is) in ٱلصُّدُورِ the breasts ١٠
And that within the breasts is obtained,
— Come To Light
إِنَّ Indeed رَبَّهُم their Lord بِهِمْ about them يَوْمَئِذٍۢ that Day لَّخَبِيرٌۢ (is) surely All-Aware ١١
Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Aware.

101. Surah Al-Qari'ah
The Calamity · Makki · 11 Ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
ٱلْقَارِعَةُ The Striking Calamity ١
The Striking Calamity -
— Come To Light
مَا What ٱلْقَارِعَةُ (is) the Striking Calamity ٢
What is the Striking Calamity?
— Come To Light
وَمَآ And what أَدْرَىٰكَ will make you know مَا what ٱلْقَارِعَةُ (is) the Striking Calamity ٣
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
— Come To Light
يَوْمَ (The) Day يَكُونُ will be ٱلنَّاسُ the mankind كَٱلْفَرَاشِ like moths ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ scattered ٤
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
— Come To Light
وَتَكُونُ And will be ٱلْجِبَالُ the mountains كَٱلْعِهْنِ like wool ٱلْمَنفُوشِ fluffed up ٥
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
— Come To Light
فَأَمَّا Then as for مَن (him) whose ثَقُلَتْ (are) heavy مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales ٦
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
— Come To Light
فَهُوَ Then he فِى (will be) in عِيشَةٍۢ a life رَّاضِيَةٍۢ pleasant ٧
He will be in a pleasant life.
— Come To Light
وَأَمَّا But as for مَنْ (him) whose خَفَّتْ (are) light مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales ٨
But as for one whose scales are light,
— Come To Light
فَأُمُّهُۥ His abode هَاوِيَةٌۭ (will be the) Pit ٩
His refuge will be an abyss.
— Come To Light
وَمَآ And what أَدْرَىٰكَ will make you know مَا what هِيَهْ it is ١٠
And what can make you know what that is?
— Come To Light
نَارٌ A Fire حَامِيَةٌۢ intensely hot ١١
It is a Fire, intensely hot.

102. Surah At-Takathur
The Rivalry in world increase · Makki · 8 Ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
أَلْهَىٰكُمُ Diverts you ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ the competition to increase ١
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
— Come To Light
حَتَّىٰ Until زُرْتُمُ you visit ٱلْمَقَابِرَ the graves ٢
Until you visit the graveyards.
— Come To Light
كَلَّا Nay سَوْفَ Soon تَعْلَمُونَ you will know ٣
No! You are going to know.
— Come To Light
