وَمَا And not هَـٰذِهِ (is) this ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ life ٱلدُّنْيَآ (of) the world إِلَّا but لَهْوٌۭ amusement وَلَعِبٌۭ ۚ and play وَإِنَّ And indeed ٱلدَّارَ the Home ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ (of) the Hereafter لَهِىَ surely, it ٱلْحَيَوَانُ ۚ (is) the life لَوْ if only كَانُوا۟ they يَعْلَمُونَ know ٦٤
And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew.

فَإِذَا And when رَكِبُوا۟ they embark فِى [in] ٱلْفُلْكِ the ship دَعَوُا۟ they call ٱللَّهَ Allah مُخْلِصِينَ (being) sincere لَهُ to Him ٱلدِّينَ (in) the religion فَلَمَّا But when نَجَّىٰهُمْ He delivers them إِلَى to ٱلْبَرِّ the land إِذَا behold هُمْ they يُشْرِكُونَ associate partners (with Him) ٦٥
And when they board a ship, they supplicate Allāh, sincere to Him in religion [i.e., faith and hope]. But when He delivers them to the land, at once they associate others with Him
— Come To Light
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ So that they may deny بِمَآ [in] what ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ We have given them وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ ۖ and they may enjoy (themselves) فَسَوْفَ But soon يَعْلَمُونَ they will know ٦٦
So that they will deny what We have granted them, and they will enjoy themselves. But they are going to know.
— Come To Light
أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see أَنَّا that We جَعَلْنَا have made حَرَمًا a Sanctuary ءَامِنًۭا secure وَيُتَخَطَّفُ while are being taken away ٱلنَّاسُ the people مِنْ around them حَوْلِهِمْ ۚ around them أَفَبِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ Then do in (the) falsehood يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe وَبِنِعْمَةِ and in (the) Favor ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah يَكْفُرُونَ they disbelieve ٦٧
Have they not seen that We made [Makkah] a safe sanctuary, while people are being taken away all around them? Then in falsehood do they believe, and in the favor of Allāh they disbelieve?
— Come To Light
وَمَنْ And who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّنِ than (he) who ٱفْتَرَىٰ invents عَلَى against ٱللَّهِ Allah كَذِبًا a lie أَوْ or كَذَّبَ denies بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth لَمَّا when جَآءَهُۥٓ ۚ it has come to him أَلَيْسَ Is there not فِى in جَهَنَّمَ Hell مَثْوًۭى an abode لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَ for the disbelievers ٦٨
And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allāh or denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a [sufficient] residence for the disbelievers?
— Come To Light
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who جَـٰهَدُوا۟ strive فِينَا for Us لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ We will surely, guide them سُبُلَنَا ۚ (to) Our ways وَإِنَّ And indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah لَمَعَ surely (is) with ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers ٦٩
And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allāh is with the doers of good.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
الٓمٓ Alif Lam Meem ١
Alif, Lām, Meem.

غُلِبَتِ Have been defeated ٱلرُّومُ the Romans ٢
The Byzantines have been defeated
— Come To Light
فِىٓ In أَدْنَى (the) nearest ٱلْأَرْضِ land وَهُم But they مِّنۢ after بَعْدِ after غَلَبِهِمْ their defeat سَيَغْلِبُونَ will overcome ٣
In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome
— Come To Light
فِى Within بِضْعِ a few سِنِينَ ۗ years لِلَّهِ For Allah ٱلْأَمْرُ (is) the command مِن before قَبْلُ before وَمِنۢ and after بَعْدُ ۚ and after وَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ And that day يَفْرَحُ will rejoice ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers ٤
Within three to nine years. To Allāh belongs the command [i.e., decree] before and after. And that day the believers will rejoice
— Come To Light
بِنَصْرِ With (the) help ٱللَّهِ ۚ (of) Allah يَنصُرُ He helps مَن whom يَشَآءُ ۖ He wills وَهُوَ And He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful ٥
In the victory of Allāh. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
