تَنزِيلُ (The) revelation ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (of) the Book مِنَ (is) from ٱللَّهِ Allah ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty ٱلْحَكِيمِ the All-Wise ١
The revelation of the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] is from Allāh, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
— Come To Light
39. Surah Az-Zumar
The Troops · Makki · 75 Ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّآ Indeed, We أَنزَلْنَآ [We] have revealed إِلَيْكَ to you ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Book بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth فَٱعْبُدِ so worship ٱللَّهَ Allah مُخْلِصًۭا (being) sincere لَّهُ to Him ٱلدِّينَ (in) the religion ٢
Indeed, We have sent down to you the Book, [O Muḥammad], in truth. So worship Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion.
— Come To Light
أَلَا Unquestionably لِلَّهِ for Allah ٱلدِّينُ (is) the religion ٱلْخَالِصُ ۚ the pure وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ take مِن besides Him دُونِهِۦٓ besides Him أَوْلِيَآءَ protectors مَا Not نَعْبُدُهُمْ we worship them إِلَّا except لِيُقَرِّبُونَآ that they may bring us near إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah زُلْفَىٰٓ (in) nearness إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah يَحْكُمُ will judge بَيْنَهُمْ between them فِى in مَا what هُمْ they فِيهِ [in it] يَخْتَلِفُونَ ۗ differ إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَهْدِى guide مَنْ (one) who هُوَ [he] كَـٰذِبٌۭ (is) a liar كَفَّارٌۭ and a disbeliever ٣
Unquestionably, for Allāh is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allāh in position." Indeed, Allāh will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allāh does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever.
— Come To Light
لَّوْ If أَرَادَ Allah (had) intended ٱللَّهُ Allah (had) intended أَن to يَتَّخِذَ take وَلَدًۭا a son لَّٱصْطَفَىٰ surely, He (could) have chosen مِمَّا from what يَخْلُقُ He creates مَا whatever يَشَآءُ ۚ He willed سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۖ Glory be to Him هُوَ He ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah ٱلْوَٰحِدُ the One ٱلْقَهَّارُ the Irresistible ٤
If Allāh had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allāh, the One, the Prevailing.
— Come To Light
خَلَقَ He created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ in [the] truth يُكَوِّرُ He wraps ٱلَّيْلَ the night عَلَى over ٱلنَّهَارِ the day وَيُكَوِّرُ and wraps ٱلنَّهَارَ the day عَلَى over ٱلَّيْلِ ۖ the night وَسَخَّرَ And He subjected ٱلشَّمْسَ the sun وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ and the moon كُلٌّۭ each يَجْرِى running لِأَجَلٍۢ for a term مُّسَمًّى ۗ specified أَلَا Unquestionably هُوَ He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty ٱلْغَفَّـٰرُ the Oft-Forgiving ٥
He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. Unquestionably, He is the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.
— Come To Light
خَلَقَكُم He created you مِّن from نَّفْسٍۢ a soul وَٰحِدَةٍۢ single ثُمَّ Then جَعَلَ He made مِنْهَا from it زَوْجَهَا its mate وَأَنزَلَ And He sent down لَكُم for you مِّنَ of ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ the cattle ثَمَـٰنِيَةَ eight أَزْوَٰجٍۢ ۚ kinds يَخْلُقُكُمْ He creates you فِى in بُطُونِ (the) wombs أُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْ (of) your mothers خَلْقًۭا creation مِّنۢ after بَعْدِ after خَلْقٍۢ creation فِى in ظُلُمَـٰتٍۢ darkness[es] ثَلَـٰثٍۢ ۚ three ذَٰلِكُمُ That ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah رَبُّكُمْ your Lord لَهُ for Him ٱلْمُلْكُ ۖ (is) the dominion لَآ (There is) no إِلَـٰهَ god إِلَّا except هُوَ ۖ He فَأَنَّىٰ Then how تُصْرَفُونَ are you turning away ٦
He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allāh, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?
— Come To Light
إِن If تَكْفُرُوا۟ you disbelieve فَإِنَّ then indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah غَنِىٌّ (is) free from need عَنكُمْ ۖ of you وَلَا And not يَرْضَىٰ He likes لِعِبَادِهِ in His slaves ٱلْكُفْرَ ۖ ungratefulness وَإِن And if تَشْكُرُوا۟ you are grateful يَرْضَهُ He likes it لَكُمْ ۗ in you وَلَا And not تَزِرُ will bear وَازِرَةٌۭ bearer of burdens وِزْرَ (the) burden أُخْرَىٰ ۗ (of) another ثُمَّ Then إِلَىٰ to رَبِّكُم your Lord مَّرْجِعُكُمْ (is) your return فَيُنَبِّئُكُم then He will inform you بِمَا about what كُنتُمْ you used to تَعْمَلُونَ ۚ do إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He عَلِيمٌۢ (is) the All-Knower بِذَاتِ of what (is) in the breasts ٱلصُّدُورِ of what (is) in the breasts ٧
If you disbelieve - indeed, Allāh is Free from need of you. And He does not approve for His servants disbelief. And if you are grateful, He approves [i.e., likes] it for you; and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you about what you used to do. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
— Come To Light
۞ وَإِذَا And when مَسَّ touches ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ [the] man ضُرٌّۭ adversity دَعَا he calls رَبَّهُۥ his Lord مُنِيبًا turning إِلَيْهِ to Him ثُمَّ then إِذَا when خَوَّلَهُۥ He bestows on him نِعْمَةًۭ a favor مِّنْهُ from Himself نَسِىَ he forgets مَا (for) what كَانَ he used to call يَدْعُوٓا۟ he used to call إِلَيْهِ [to] Him مِن before قَبْلُ before وَجَعَلَ and he sets up لِلَّهِ to Allah أَندَادًۭا rivals لِّيُضِلَّ to mislead عَن from سَبِيلِهِۦ ۚ His Path قُلْ Say تَمَتَّعْ Enjoy بِكُفْرِكَ in your disbelief قَلِيلًا ۖ (for) a little إِنَّكَ Indeed, you مِنْ (are) of أَصْحَـٰبِ (the) companions ٱلنَّارِ (of) the Fire ٨
And when adversity touches man, he calls upon his Lord, turning to Him [alone]; then when He bestows on him a favor from Himself, he forgets Him whom he called upon before, and he attributes to Allāh equals to mislead [people] from His way. Say, "Enjoy your disbelief for a little; indeed, you are of the companions of the Fire."
— Come To Light
أَمَّنْ Is (one) who هُوَ [he] قَـٰنِتٌ (is) devoutly obedient ءَانَآءَ (during) hours ٱلَّيْلِ (of) the night سَاجِدًۭا prostrating وَقَآئِمًۭا and standing يَحْذَرُ fearing ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ the Hereafter وَيَرْجُوا۟ and hoping رَحْمَةَ (for the) Mercy رَبِّهِۦ ۗ (of) his Lord قُلْ Say هَلْ Are يَسْتَوِى equal ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَعْلَمُونَ know وَٱلَّذِينَ and those who لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ ۗ know إِنَّمَا Only يَتَذَكَّرُ will take heed أُو۟لُوا۟ those of understanding ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ those of understanding ٩
Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding.
— Come To Light
قُلْ Say يَـٰعِبَادِ O My slaves ٱلَّذِينَ [those] who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe ٱتَّقُوا۟ Fear رَبَّكُمْ ۚ your Lord لِلَّذِينَ For those who أَحْسَنُوا۟ do good فِى in هَـٰذِهِ this ٱلدُّنْيَا world حَسَنَةٌۭ ۗ (is) good وَأَرْضُ and the earth ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَٰسِعَةٌ ۗ (is) spacious إِنَّمَا Only يُوَفَّى will be paid back in full ٱلصَّـٰبِرُونَ the patient ones أَجْرَهُم their reward بِغَيْرِ without حِسَابٍۢ account ١٠
Say, "O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allāh is spacious. Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account [i.e., limit]."
— Come To Light
قُلْ Say إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أُمِرْتُ [I] am commanded أَنْ that أَعْبُدَ I worship ٱللَّهَ Allah مُخْلِصًۭا (being) sincere لَّهُ to Him ٱلدِّينَ (in) the religion ١١
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to worship Allāh, [being] sincere to Him in religion.
— Come To Light
وَأُمِرْتُ And I am commanded لِأَنْ that أَكُونَ I be أَوَّلَ (the) first ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ (of) those who submit ١٢
And I have been commanded to be the first [among you] of the Muslims."
— Come To Light
قُلْ Say إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أَخَافُ [I] fear إِنْ if عَصَيْتُ I disobey رَبِّى my Lord عَذَابَ (the) punishment يَوْمٍ (of) a Day عَظِيمٍۢ great ١٣
Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day."
— Come To Light
قُلِ Say ٱللَّهَ I worship Allah أَعْبُدُ I worship Allah مُخْلِصًۭا (being) sincere لَّهُۥ to Him دِينِى (in) my religion ١٤
Say, "Allāh [alone] do I worship, sincere to Him in my religion,
— Come To Light
فَٱعْبُدُوا۟ So worship مَا what شِئْتُم you will مِّن besides Him دُونِهِۦ ۗ besides Him قُلْ Say إِنَّ Indeed ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ the losers ٱلَّذِينَ (are) those who خَسِرُوٓا۟ (will) lose أَنفُسَهُمْ themselves وَأَهْلِيهِمْ and their families يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗ (of) the Resurrection أَلَا Unquestionably ذَٰلِكَ that هُوَ it ٱلْخُسْرَانُ (is) the loss ٱلْمُبِينُ the clear ١٥
So worship what you will besides Him." Say, "Indeed, the losers are the ones who will lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is the manifest loss."
— Come To Light
لَهُم For them مِّن from فَوْقِهِمْ above them ظُلَلٌۭ coverings مِّنَ of ٱلنَّارِ the Fire وَمِن and from تَحْتِهِمْ below them ظُلَلٌۭ ۚ coverings ذَٰلِكَ (With) that يُخَوِّفُ threatens ٱللَّهُ Allah بِهِۦ [with it] عِبَادَهُۥ ۚ His slaves يَـٰعِبَادِ O My slaves فَٱتَّقُونِ So fear Me ١٦
They will have canopies [i.e., layers] of fire above them and below them, canopies. By that Allāh threatens [i.e., warns] His servants. O My servants, then fear Me.
— Come To Light
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who ٱجْتَنَبُوا۟ avoid ٱلطَّـٰغُوتَ the false gods أَن lest يَعْبُدُوهَا they worship them وَأَنَابُوٓا۟ and turn إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah لَهُمُ for them ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ ۚ (are) glad tidings فَبَشِّرْ So give glad tidings عِبَادِ (to) My slaves ١٧
But those who have avoided ṭāghūt, lest they worship it, and turned back to Allāh - for them are good tidings. So give good tidings to My servants
— Come To Light
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يَسْتَمِعُونَ they listen (to) ٱلْقَوْلَ the Word فَيَتَّبِعُونَ then follow أَحْسَنَهُۥٓ ۚ the best thereof أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ those ٱلَّذِينَ (are) they whom هَدَىٰهُمُ Allah has guided them ٱللَّهُ ۖ Allah has guided them وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ and those هُمْ are [they] أُو۟لُوا۟ the men of understanding ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ the men of understanding ١٨
Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allāh has guided, and those are people of understanding.
— Come To Light
أَفَمَنْ Then, is (one) who حَقَّ became due عَلَيْهِ on him كَلِمَةُ the word ٱلْعَذَابِ (of) the punishment أَفَأَنتَ Then can you تُنقِذُ save مَن (one) who فِى (is) in ٱلنَّارِ the Fire ١٩
Then, is one who has deserved the decree of punishment [to be guided]? Then, can you save one who is in the Fire?
— Come To Light
لَـٰكِنِ But ٱلَّذِينَ those who ٱتَّقَوْا۟ fear رَبَّهُمْ their Lord لَهُمْ for them غُرَفٌۭ (are) lofty mansions مِّن above them فَوْقِهَا above them غُرَفٌۭ lofty mansions مَّبْنِيَّةٌۭ built high تَجْرِى flow مِن from تَحْتِهَا beneath it ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۖ the rivers وَعْدَ (The) Promise ٱللَّهِ ۖ (of) Allah لَا Not يُخْلِفُ Allah fails ٱللَّهُ Allah fails ٱلْمِيعَادَ (in His) promise ٢٠
But those who have feared their Lord - for them are chambers, above them chambers built high, beneath which rivers flow. [This is] the promise of Allāh. Allāh does not fail in [His] promise.
— Come To Light
أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah أَنزَلَ sends down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءًۭ water فَسَلَكَهُۥ and He makes it flow يَنَـٰبِيعَ (as) springs فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth ثُمَّ then يُخْرِجُ He produces بِهِۦ with it زَرْعًۭا crops مُّخْتَلِفًا (of) different أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ colors ثُمَّ then يَهِيجُ they wither فَتَرَىٰهُ and you see it مُصْفَرًّۭا turn yellow ثُمَّ then يَجْعَلُهُۥ He makes them حُطَـٰمًا ۚ debris إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَذِكْرَىٰ surely, (is) a reminder لِأُو۟لِى for those of understanding ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ for those of understanding ٢١
Do you not see that Allāh sends down rain from the sky and makes it flow as springs [and rivers] in the earth; then He produces thereby crops of varying colors; then they dry and you see them turned yellow; then He makes them [scattered] debris. Indeed in that is a reminder for those of understanding.
— Come To Light
أَفَمَن So is (one for) whom شَرَحَ Allah has expanded ٱللَّهُ Allah has expanded صَدْرَهُۥ his breast لِلْإِسْلَـٰمِ for Islam فَهُوَ so he عَلَىٰ (is) upon نُورٍۢ a light مِّن from رَّبِّهِۦ ۚ his Lord فَوَيْلٌۭ So woe لِّلْقَـٰسِيَةِ to (those are) hardened قُلُوبُهُم their hearts مِّن from ذِكْرِ (the) remembrance of Allah ٱللَّهِ ۚ (the) remembrance of Allah أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ Those فِى (are) in ضَلَـٰلٍۢ error مُّبِينٍ clear ٢٢
So is one whose breast Allāh has expanded to [accept] Islām and he is upon [i.e., guided by] a light from his Lord [like one whose heart rejects it]? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allāh. Those are in manifest error.
— Come To Light
ٱللَّهُ Allah نَزَّلَ has revealed أَحْسَنَ (the) best ٱلْحَدِيثِ (of) [the] statement كِتَـٰبًۭا a Book مُّتَشَـٰبِهًۭا (its parts) resembling each other مَّثَانِىَ oft-repeated تَقْشَعِرُّ Shiver مِنْهُ from it جُلُودُ (the) skins ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who يَخْشَوْنَ fear رَبَّهُمْ their Lord ثُمَّ then تَلِينُ relax جُلُودُهُمْ their skins وَقُلُوبُهُمْ and their hearts إِلَىٰ at ذِكْرِ (the) remembrance ٱللَّهِ ۚ (of) Allah ذَٰلِكَ That هُدَى (is the) guidance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah يَهْدِى He guides بِهِۦ with it مَن whom يَشَآءُ ۚ He wills وَمَن And whoever يُضْلِلِ Allah lets go astray ٱللَّهُ Allah lets go astray فَمَا then not لَهُۥ for him مِنْ any هَادٍ guide ٢٣
Allāh has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance [i.e., mention] of Allāh. That is the guidance of Allāh by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allāh sends astray - for him there is no guide.
— Come To Light
أَفَمَن Then (is) he who يَتَّقِى will shield بِوَجْهِهِۦ with his face سُوٓءَ (the) worst ٱلْعَذَابِ punishment يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ (of) the Resurrection وَقِيلَ And it will be said لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ to the wrongdoers ذُوقُوا۟ Taste مَا what كُنتُمْ you used to تَكْسِبُونَ earn ٢٤
Then is he who will shield with his face the worst of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection [like one secure from it]? And it will be said to the wrongdoers, "Taste what you used to earn."
— Come To Light
كَذَّبَ Denied ٱلَّذِينَ those who مِن (were) before them قَبْلِهِمْ (were) before them فَأَتَىٰهُمُ so came upon them ٱلْعَذَابُ the punishment مِنْ from حَيْثُ where لَا not يَشْعُرُونَ they perceive ٢٥
Those before them denied, and punishment came upon them from where they did not perceive.
— Come To Light
فَأَذَاقَهُمُ So Allah made them ٱللَّهُ So Allah made them ٱلْخِزْىَ the disgrace فِى in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ (of) the world وَلَعَذَابُ and certainly (the) punishment ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ (of) the Hereafter أَكْبَرُ ۚ (is) greater لَوْ if كَانُوا۟ they يَعْلَمُونَ knew ٢٦
So Allāh made them taste disgrace in worldly life. But the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.
— Come To Light
وَلَقَدْ And indeed ضَرَبْنَا We have set forth لِلنَّاسِ for people فِى in هَـٰذَا this ٱلْقُرْءَانِ Quran مِن of كُلِّ every مَثَلٍۢ example لَّعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَتَذَكَّرُونَ take heed ٢٧
And We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur’ān from every [kind of] example - that they might remember.
— Come To Light
قُرْءَانًا A Quran عَرَبِيًّا (in) Arabic غَيْرَ without ذِى any عِوَجٍۢ crookedness لَّعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَتَّقُونَ (become) righteous ٢٨
[It is] an Arabic Qur’ān, without any deviance that they might become righteous.
— Come To Light
ضَرَبَ Allah sets forth ٱللَّهُ Allah sets forth مَثَلًۭا an example رَّجُلًۭا a man فِيهِ about him شُرَكَآءُ partners مُتَشَـٰكِسُونَ quarreling وَرَجُلًۭا and a man سَلَمًۭا (belonging) exclusively لِّرَجُلٍ to one man هَلْ are يَسْتَوِيَانِ they both equal مَثَلًا ۚ (in) comparison ٱلْحَمْدُ All praise لِلَّهِ ۚ (be) to Allah بَلْ Nay أَكْثَرُهُمْ most of them لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know ٢٩
Allāh presents an example: a man [i.e., slave] owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man - are they equal in comparison? Praise be to Allāh! But most of them do not know.
— Come To Light
إِنَّكَ Indeed, you مَيِّتٌۭ will die وَإِنَّهُم and indeed, they مَّيِّتُونَ (will also) die ٣٠
Indeed, you are to die, and indeed, they are to die.
— Come To Light
ثُمَّ Then إِنَّكُمْ indeed you يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection عِندَ before رَبِّكُمْ your Lord تَخْتَصِمُونَ will dispute ٣١
Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord, will dispute.
— Come To Light
۞ فَمَنْ Then who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّن than (one) who كَذَبَ lies عَلَى against ٱللَّهِ Allah وَكَذَّبَ and denies بِٱلصِّدْقِ the truth إِذْ when جَآءَهُۥٓ ۚ it comes to him أَلَيْسَ Is (there) not فِى in جَهَنَّمَ Hell مَثْوًۭى an abode لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَ for the disbelievers ٣٢
So who is more unjust than one who lies about Allāh and denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a residence for the disbelievers?
— Come To Light
وَٱلَّذِى And the one who جَآءَ brought بِٱلصِّدْقِ the truth وَصَدَّقَ and believed بِهِۦٓ ۙ in it أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ those هُمُ [they] ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ (are) the righteous ٣٣
And the one who has brought the truth [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ)] and [they who] believed in it - those are the righteous.
— Come To Light
لَهُم For them مَّا (is) what يَشَآءُونَ they wish عِندَ with رَبِّهِمْ ۚ their Lord ذَٰلِكَ That جَزَآءُ (is the) reward ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ (of) the good-doers ٣٤
They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good -
— Come To Light
لِيُكَفِّرَ That Allah will remove ٱللَّهُ That Allah will remove عَنْهُمْ from them أَسْوَأَ (the) worst ٱلَّذِى (of) what عَمِلُوا۟ they did وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ and reward them أَجْرَهُم their due بِأَحْسَنِ for (the) best ٱلَّذِى (of) what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do ٣٥
That Allāh may remove from them the worst of what they did and reward them their due for the best of what they used to do.
— Come To Light
أَلَيْسَ Is not ٱللَّهُ Allah بِكَافٍ sufficient عَبْدَهُۥ ۖ (for) His slave وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ And they threaten you بِٱلَّذِينَ with those مِن besides Him دُونِهِۦ ۚ besides Him وَمَن And whoever يُضْلِلِ Allah lets go astray ٱللَّهُ Allah lets go astray فَمَا then not لَهُۥ for him مِنْ any هَادٍۢ guide ٣٦
Is not Allāh sufficient for His Servant [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)]? And [yet], they threaten you with those [they worship] other than Him. And whoever Allāh leaves astray - for him there is no guide.
— Come To Light
وَمَن And whoever يَهْدِ Allah guides ٱللَّهُ Allah guides فَمَا then not لَهُۥ for him مِن any مُّضِلٍّ ۗ misleader أَلَيْسَ Is not ٱللَّهُ Allah بِعَزِيزٍۢ All-Mighty ذِى All-Able of retribution ٱنتِقَامٍۢ All-Able of retribution ٣٧
And whoever Allāh guides - for him there is no misleader. Is not Allāh Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution?
— Come To Light
وَلَئِن And if سَأَلْتَهُم you ask them مَّنْ who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth لَيَقُولُنَّ Surely, they will say ٱللَّهُ ۚ Allah قُلْ Say أَفَرَءَيْتُم Then do you see مَّا what تَدْعُونَ you invoke مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah إِنْ if أَرَادَنِىَ Allah intended for me ٱللَّهُ Allah intended for me بِضُرٍّ harm هَلْ are هُنَّ they كَـٰشِفَـٰتُ removers ضُرِّهِۦٓ (of) harm (from) Him أَوْ or أَرَادَنِى if He intended for me بِرَحْمَةٍ mercy هَلْ are هُنَّ they مُمْسِكَـٰتُ withholders رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ (of) His mercy قُلْ Say حَسْبِىَ Sufficient (is) Allah for me ٱللَّهُ ۖ Sufficient (is) Allah for me عَلَيْهِ upon Him يَتَوَكَّلُ put trust ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ those who trust ٣٨
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "Allāh." Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allāh? If Allāh intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allāh; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers."

قُلْ Say يَـٰقَوْمِ O my people ٱعْمَلُوا۟ Work عَلَىٰ (according) to مَكَانَتِكُمْ your position إِنِّى indeed, I am عَـٰمِلٌۭ ۖ working فَسَوْفَ then soon تَعْلَمُونَ you will know ٣٩
Say, "O my people, work according to your position, [for] indeed, I am working; and you are going to know
— Come To Light
مَن (Upon) whom يَأْتِيهِ will come عَذَابٌۭ a punishment يُخْزِيهِ disgracing him وَيَحِلُّ and descends عَلَيْهِ on him عَذَابٌۭ a punishment مُّقِيمٌ everlasting ٤٠
To whom will come a torment disgracing him and on whom will descend an enduring punishment."
