بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

35:1

ٱلْحَمْدُ All praises لِلَّهِ (be) to Allah فَاطِرِ Originator ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth جَاعِلِ (Who) makes ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ the Angels رُسُلًا messengers أُو۟لِىٓ having wings أَجْنِحَةٍۢ having wings مَّثْنَىٰ two وَثُلَـٰثَ or three وَرُبَـٰعَ ۚ or four يَزِيدُ He increases فِى in ٱلْخَلْقِ the creation مَا what يَشَآءُ ۚ He wills إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍۢ thing قَدِيرٌۭ All-Powerful ١

[All] praise is [due] to Allāh, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allāh is over all things competent.

— Come To Light

35:2

مَّا What يَفْتَحِ Allah grants ٱللَّهُ Allah grants لِلنَّاسِ to mankind مِن of رَّحْمَةٍۢ Mercy فَلَا then none مُمْسِكَ (can) withhold لَهَا ۖ it وَمَا And what يُمْسِكْ He withholds فَلَا then none مُرْسِلَ (can) release لَهُۥ it مِنۢ thereafter بَعْدِهِۦ ۚ thereafter وَهُوَ And He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise ٢

Whatever Allāh grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

— Come To Light

35:3

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلنَّاسُ mankind ٱذْكُرُوا۟ Remember نِعْمَتَ (the) Favor ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ upon you هَلْ Is مِنْ (there) any خَـٰلِقٍ creator غَيْرُ other (than) Allah ٱللَّهِ other (than) Allah يَرْزُقُكُم who provides for you مِّنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ and the earth لَآ (There is) no إِلَـٰهَ god إِلَّا but هُوَ ۖ He فَأَنَّىٰ Then, how تُؤْفَكُونَ (are) you deluded ٣

O mankind, remember the favor of Allāh upon you. Is there any creator other than Allāh who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?

— Come To Light

35:4

وَإِن And if يُكَذِّبُوكَ they deny you فَقَدْ then certainly كُذِّبَتْ were denied رُسُلٌۭ Messengers مِّن before you قَبْلِكَ ۚ before you وَإِلَى And to ٱللَّهِ Allah تُرْجَعُ return ٱلْأُمُورُ the matters ٤

And if they deny you, [O Muḥammad] - already were messengers denied before you. And to Allāh are returned [all] matters.

— Come To Light

35:5

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلنَّاسُ mankind إِنَّ Indeed وَعْدَ (the) promise ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah حَقٌّۭ ۖ (is) true فَلَا So (let) not تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ deceive you ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ (of) the world وَلَا and (let) not يَغُرَّنَّكُم deceive you بِٱللَّهِ about Allah ٱلْغَرُورُ the Deceiver ٥

O mankind, indeed the promise of Allāh is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allāh by the Deceiver [i.e., Satan].

— Come To Light

35:6

إِنَّ Indeed ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ the Shaitaan لَكُمْ (is) to you عَدُوٌّۭ an enemy فَٱتَّخِذُوهُ so take him عَدُوًّا ۚ (as) an enemy إِنَّمَا Only يَدْعُوا۟ he invites حِزْبَهُۥ his party لِيَكُونُوا۟ that they may be مِنْ among أَصْحَـٰبِ (the) companions ٱلسَّعِيرِ (of) the Blaze ٦

Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.

35:7

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve لَهُمْ for them عَذَابٌۭ (will be) a punishment شَدِيدٌۭ ۖ severe وَٱلَّذِينَ and those ءَامَنُوا۟ who believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ righteous deeds لَهُم for them مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ (will be) forgiveness وَأَجْرٌۭ and a reward كَبِيرٌ great ٧

Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and great reward.

— Come To Light

35:8

أَفَمَن Then is (he) who زُيِّنَ is made fair-seeming لَهُۥ to him سُوٓءُ (the) evil عَمَلِهِۦ (of) his deed فَرَءَاهُ so that he sees it حَسَنًۭا ۖ (as) good فَإِنَّ For indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah يُضِلُّ lets go astray مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills وَيَهْدِى and guides مَن whom يَشَآءُ ۖ He wills فَلَا So (let) not تَذْهَبْ go out نَفْسُكَ your soul عَلَيْهِمْ for them حَسَرَٰتٍ ۚ (in) regrets إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah عَلِيمٌۢ (is) All-Knower بِمَا of what يَصْنَعُونَ they do ٨

Then is one to whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive so he considers it good [like one rightly guided]? For indeed, Allāh sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. So do not let yourself perish over them in regret. Indeed, Allāh is Knowing of what they do.

— Come To Light

35:9

وَٱللَّهُ And Allah ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَرْسَلَ sends ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ the winds فَتُثِيرُ so that they raise سَحَابًۭا (the) clouds فَسُقْنَـٰهُ and We drive them إِلَىٰ to بَلَدٍۢ a land مَّيِّتٍۢ dead فَأَحْيَيْنَا and We revive بِهِ therewith ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth بَعْدَ after مَوْتِهَا ۚ its death كَذَٰلِكَ Thus ٱلنُّشُورُ (will be) the Resurrection ٩

And it is Allāh who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection.

35:10

مَن Whoever كَانَ [is] desires يُرِيدُ [is] desires ٱلْعِزَّةَ the honor فَلِلَّهِ then for Allah ٱلْعِزَّةُ (is) the Honor جَمِيعًا ۚ all إِلَيْهِ To Him يَصْعَدُ ascends ٱلْكَلِمُ the words ٱلطَّيِّبُ good وَٱلْعَمَلُ and the deed ٱلصَّـٰلِحُ righteous يَرْفَعُهُۥ ۚ raises it وَٱلَّذِينَ But those who يَمْكُرُونَ plot ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ the evil لَهُمْ for them عَذَابٌۭ (is) a punishment شَدِيدٌۭ ۖ severe وَمَكْرُ and (the) plotting أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ (of) those هُوَ it يَبُورُ (will) perish ١٠

Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allāh belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish.

35:11

وَٱللَّهُ And Allah خَلَقَكُم created you مِّن from تُرَابٍۢ dust ثُمَّ then مِن from نُّطْفَةٍۢ a semen-drop ثُمَّ then جَعَلَكُمْ He made you أَزْوَٰجًۭا ۚ pairs وَمَا And not تَحْمِلُ conceives مِنْ any أُنثَىٰ female وَلَا and not تَضَعُ gives birth إِلَّا except بِعِلْمِهِۦ ۚ with His knowledge وَمَا And not يُعَمَّرُ is granted life مِن any مُّعَمَّرٍۢ aged person وَلَا and not يُنقَصُ is lessened مِنْ from عُمُرِهِۦٓ his life إِلَّا but فِى (is) in كِتَـٰبٍ ۚ a Register إِنَّ Indeed ذَٰلِكَ that عَلَى for ٱللَّهِ Allah يَسِيرٌۭ (is) easy ١١

And Allāh created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allāh is easy.

35:12

وَمَا And not يَسْتَوِى are alike ٱلْبَحْرَانِ the two seas هَـٰذَا This عَذْبٌۭ (is) fresh فُرَاتٌۭ sweet سَآئِغٌۭ pleasant شَرَابُهُۥ its drink وَهَـٰذَا and this مِلْحٌ salty أُجَاجٌۭ ۖ (and) bitter وَمِن And from كُلٍّۢ each تَأْكُلُونَ you eat لَحْمًۭا meat طَرِيًّۭا fresh وَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَ and you extract حِلْيَةًۭ ornaments تَلْبَسُونَهَا ۖ you wear them وَتَرَى and you see ٱلْفُلْكَ the ships فِيهِ in it مَوَاخِرَ cleaving لِتَبْتَغُوا۟ so that you may seek مِن of فَضْلِهِۦ His Bounty وَلَعَلَّكُمْ and that you may تَشْكُرُونَ be grateful ١٢

And not alike are the two seas [i.e., bodies of water]. One is fresh and sweet, palatable for drinking, and one is salty and bitter. And from each you eat tender meat and extract ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships plowing through [them] that you might seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.

35:13

يُولِجُ He causes to enter ٱلَّيْلَ the night فِى in (to) ٱلنَّهَارِ the day وَيُولِجُ and He causes to enter ٱلنَّهَارَ the day فِى in (to) ٱلَّيْلِ the night وَسَخَّرَ and He has subjected ٱلشَّمْسَ the sun وَٱلْقَمَرَ and the moon كُلٌّۭ each يَجْرِى running لِأَجَلٍۢ for a term مُّسَمًّۭى ۚ appointed ذَٰلِكُمُ That (is) ٱللَّهُ Allah رَبُّكُمْ your Lord لَهُ for Him ٱلْمُلْكُ ۚ (is) the Dominion وَٱلَّذِينَ And those whom تَدْعُونَ you invoke مِن besides Him دُونِهِۦ besides Him مَا not يَمْلِكُونَ they possess مِن even قِطْمِيرٍ (as much as) the membrane of a date-seed ١٣

He causes the night to enter the day, and He causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon - each running [its course] for a specified term. That is Allāh, your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed.

— Come To Light

35:14

إِن If تَدْعُوهُمْ you invoke them لَا not يَسْمَعُوا۟ they hear دُعَآءَكُمْ your call وَلَوْ and if سَمِعُوا۟ they heard مَا not ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ they (would) respond لَكُمْ ۖ to you وَيَوْمَ And (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection يَكْفُرُونَ they will deny بِشِرْكِكُمْ ۚ your association وَلَا And none يُنَبِّئُكَ can inform you مِثْلُ like خَبِيرٍۢ (the) All-Aware ١٤

If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [one] Aware [of all matters].

— Come To Light

35:15

۞ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلنَّاسُ mankind أَنتُمُ You ٱلْفُقَرَآءُ (are) those in need إِلَى of ٱللَّهِ ۖ Allah وَٱللَّهُ while Allah هُوَ He ٱلْغَنِىُّ (is) Free of need ٱلْحَمِيدُ the Praiseworthy ١٥

O mankind, you are those in need of Allāh, while Allāh is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

— Come To Light

35:16

إِن If يَشَأْ He wills يُذْهِبْكُمْ He (can) do away with you وَيَأْتِ and bring بِخَلْقٍۢ in a creation جَدِيدٍۢ new ١٦

If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation.

— Come To Light

35:17

وَمَا And not ذَٰلِكَ that عَلَى (is) on ٱللَّهِ Allah بِعَزِيزٍۢ difficult ١٧

And that is for Allāh not difficult.

— Come To Light

35:18

وَلَا And not تَزِرُ will bear وَازِرَةٌۭ bearer of burdens وِزْرَ burden أُخْرَىٰ ۚ (of) another وَإِن And if تَدْعُ calls مُثْقَلَةٌ a heavily laden إِلَىٰ to حِمْلِهَا (carry) its load لَا not يُحْمَلْ will be carried مِنْهُ of it شَىْءٌۭ anything وَلَوْ even if كَانَ he be ذَا near of kin قُرْبَىٰٓ ۗ near of kin إِنَّمَا Only تُنذِرُ you can warn ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَخْشَوْنَ fear رَبَّهُم their Lord بِٱلْغَيْبِ unseen وَأَقَامُوا۟ and establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۚ the prayer وَمَن And whoever تَزَكَّىٰ purifies himself فَإِنَّمَا then only يَتَزَكَّىٰ he purifies لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۚ for his own self وَإِلَى And to ٱللَّهِ Allah ٱلْمَصِيرُ (is) the destination ١٨

And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allāh is the [final] destination.

35:19

وَمَا And not يَسْتَوِى equal ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ (are) the blind وَٱلْبَصِيرُ and the seeing ١٩

Not equal are the blind and the seeing,

— Come To Light

35:20

وَلَا And not ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتُ the darkness[es] وَلَا and not ٱلنُّورُ [the] light ٢٠

Nor are the darknesses and the light,

— Come To Light

35:21

وَلَا And not ٱلظِّلُّ the shade وَلَا and not ٱلْحَرُورُ the heat ٢١

Nor are the shade and the heat,

— Come To Light

35:22

وَمَا And not يَسْتَوِى equal ٱلْأَحْيَآءُ (are) the living وَلَا and not ٱلْأَمْوَٰتُ ۚ the dead إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah يُسْمِعُ causes to hear مَن whom يَشَآءُ ۖ He wills وَمَآ and not أَنتَ you بِمُسْمِعٍۢ can make hear مَّن (those) who فِى (are) in ٱلْقُبُورِ the graves ٢٢

And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allāh causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves.

— Come To Light

35:23

إِنْ Not أَنتَ you (are) إِلَّا but نَذِيرٌ a warner ٢٣

You, [O Muḥammad], are not but a warner.

— Come To Light

35:24

إِنَّآ Indeed, We أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ [We] have sent you بِٱلْحَقِّ with the truth بَشِيرًۭا (as) a bearer of glad tidings وَنَذِيرًۭا ۚ and (as) a warner وَإِن And not مِّنْ (was) any أُمَّةٍ nation إِلَّا but خَلَا had passed فِيهَا within it نَذِيرٌۭ a warner ٢٤

Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.

35:25

وَإِن And if يُكَذِّبُوكَ they deny you فَقَدْ then certainly كَذَّبَ denied ٱلَّذِينَ those who مِن (were) before them قَبْلِهِمْ (were) before them جَآءَتْهُمْ Came to them رُسُلُهُم their Messengers بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ with clear signs وَبِٱلزُّبُرِ and with Scriptures وَبِٱلْكِتَـٰبِ and with the Book ٱلْمُنِيرِ [the] enlightening ٢٥

And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.

— Come To Light

35:26

ثُمَّ Then أَخَذْتُ I seized ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ ۖ disbelieved فَكَيْفَ and how كَانَ was نَكِيرِ My rejection ٢٦

Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

— Come To Light

35:27

أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah أَنزَلَ sends down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءًۭ water فَأَخْرَجْنَا then We bring forth بِهِۦ therewith ثَمَرَٰتٍۢ fruits مُّخْتَلِفًا (of) various أَلْوَٰنُهَا ۚ [their] colors وَمِنَ And in ٱلْجِبَالِ the mountains جُدَدٌۢ (are) tracts بِيضٌۭ white وَحُمْرٌۭ and red مُّخْتَلِفٌ (of) various أَلْوَٰنُهَا [their] colors وَغَرَابِيبُ and intensely black سُودٌۭ and intensely black ٢٧

Do you not see that Allāh sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black.

— Come To Light

35:28

وَمِنَ And among ٱلنَّاسِ men وَٱلدَّوَآبِّ and moving creatures وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ and the cattle مُخْتَلِفٌ (are) various أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ [their] colors كَذَٰلِكَ ۗ likewise إِنَّمَا Only يَخْشَى fear ٱللَّهَ Allah مِنْ among عِبَادِهِ His slaves ٱلْعُلَمَـٰٓؤُا۟ ۗ those who have knowledge إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah عَزِيزٌ (is) All-Mighty غَفُورٌ Oft-Forgiving ٢٨

And among people and moving creatures and grazing livestock are various colors similarly. Only those fear Allāh, from among His servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Forgiving.

— Come To Light

35:29

إِنَّ Indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَتْلُونَ recite كِتَـٰبَ (the) Book ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَأَقَامُوا۟ and establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer وَأَنفَقُوا۟ and spend مِمَّا out of what رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ We have provided them سِرًّۭا secretly وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ and openly يَرْجُونَ hope تِجَـٰرَةًۭ (for) a commerce لَّن never تَبُورَ it will perish ٢٩

Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allāh and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a transaction [i.e., profit] that will never perish -

— Come To Light

35:30

لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ That He may give them in full أُجُورَهُمْ their rewards وَيَزِيدَهُم and increase for them مِّن of فَضْلِهِۦٓ ۚ His Bounty إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He غَفُورٌۭ (is) Oft-Forgiving شَكُورٌۭ Most Appreciative ٣٠

That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.

— Come To Light

35:31

وَٱلَّذِىٓ And (that) which أَوْحَيْنَآ We have revealed إِلَيْكَ to you مِنَ of ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ the Book هُوَ it ٱلْحَقُّ (is) the truth مُصَدِّقًۭا confirming لِّمَا what (was) بَيْنَ before it يَدَيْهِ ۗ before it إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah بِعِبَادِهِۦ of His slaves لَخَبِيرٌۢ surely, (is) All-Aware بَصِيرٌۭ All-Seer ٣١

And that which We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], of the Book is the truth, confirming what was before it. Indeed Allāh, of His servants, is Aware and Seeing.

— Come To Light

35:32

ثُمَّ Then أَوْرَثْنَا We caused to inherit ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Book ٱلَّذِينَ those whom ٱصْطَفَيْنَا We have chosen مِنْ of عِبَادِنَا ۖ Our slaves فَمِنْهُمْ and among them ظَالِمٌۭ (is he) who wrongs لِّنَفْسِهِۦ himself وَمِنْهُم and among them مُّقْتَصِدٌۭ (is he who is) moderate وَمِنْهُمْ and among them سَابِقٌۢ (is he who is) foremost بِٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ in good deeds بِإِذْنِ by permission ٱللَّهِ ۚ (of) Allah ذَٰلِكَ That هُوَ is ٱلْفَضْلُ the Bounty ٱلْكَبِيرُ the great ٣٢

Then We caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself [i.e., sins], and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allāh. That [inheritance] is what is the great bounty.

— Come To Light

35:33

جَنَّـٰتُ Gardens عَدْنٍۢ (of) Eternity يَدْخُلُونَهَا they will enter them يُحَلَّوْنَ They will be adorned فِيهَا therein مِنْ with أَسَاوِرَ bracelets مِن of ذَهَبٍۢ gold وَلُؤْلُؤًۭا ۖ and pearls وَلِبَاسُهُمْ and their garments فِيهَا therein حَرِيرٌۭ (will be of) silk ٣٣

[For them are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.

— Come To Light

35:34

وَقَالُوا۟ And they (will) say ٱلْحَمْدُ All praises لِلَّهِ (be) to Allah ٱلَّذِىٓ the One Who أَذْهَبَ (has) removed عَنَّا from us ٱلْحَزَنَ ۖ the sorrow إِنَّ Indeed رَبَّنَا our Lord لَغَفُورٌۭ (is) surely Oft-Forgiving شَكُورٌ Most Appreciative ٣٤

And they will say, "Praise to Allāh, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative -

— Come To Light

35:35

ٱلَّذِىٓ The One Who أَحَلَّنَا has settled us دَارَ (in) a Home ٱلْمُقَامَةِ (of) Eternity مِن (out) of فَضْلِهِۦ His Bounty لَا Not يَمَسُّنَا touches us فِيهَا therein نَصَبٌۭ any fatigue وَلَا and not يَمَسُّنَا touches فِيهَا therein لُغُوبٌۭ weariness ٣٥

He who has settled us in the home of duration [i.e., Paradise] out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."

35:36

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve لَهُمْ for them نَارُ (will be the) Fire جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell لَا Not يُقْضَىٰ is decreed عَلَيْهِمْ for them فَيَمُوتُوا۟ that they die وَلَا and not يُخَفَّفُ will be lightened عَنْهُم for them مِّنْ of عَذَابِهَا ۚ its torment كَذَٰلِكَ Thus نَجْزِى We recompense كُلَّ every كَفُورٍۢ ungrateful one ٣٦

And for those who disbelieve will be the fire of Hell. [Death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We recompense every ungrateful one.

35:37

وَهُمْ And they يَصْطَرِخُونَ will cry فِيهَا therein رَبَّنَآ Our Lord أَخْرِجْنَا Bring us out نَعْمَلْ we will do صَـٰلِحًا righteous (deeds) غَيْرَ other than ٱلَّذِى (that) which كُنَّا we used نَعْمَلُ ۚ (to) do أَوَلَمْ Did not نُعَمِّرْكُم We give you life long enough مَّا that يَتَذَكَّرُ (would) receive admonition فِيهِ therein مَن whoever تَذَكَّرَ receives admonition وَجَآءَكُمُ And came to you ٱلنَّذِيرُ ۖ the warner فَذُوقُوا۟ So taste فَمَا then not لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ (is) for the wrongdoers مِن any نَّصِيرٍ helper ٣٧

And they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness - other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you life enough for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is not for the wrongdoers any helper.

35:38

إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah عَـٰلِمُ (is the) Knower غَيْبِ (of the) unseen ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ and the earth إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He عَلِيمٌۢ (is the) All-Knower بِذَاتِ of what (is) in the breasts ٱلصُّدُورِ of what (is) in the breasts ٣٨

Indeed, Allāh is Knower of the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and earth. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

35:39

هُوَ He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَكُمْ made you خَلَـٰٓئِفَ successors فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ the earth فَمَن And whoever كَفَرَ disbelieves فَعَلَيْهِ then upon him كُفْرُهُۥ ۖ (is) his disbelief وَلَا And not يَزِيدُ increase ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers كُفْرُهُمْ their disbelief عِندَ near رَبِّهِمْ their Lord إِلَّا except مَقْتًۭا ۖ (in) hatred وَلَا and not يَزِيدُ increase ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers كُفْرُهُمْ their disbelief إِلَّا except خَسَارًۭا (in) loss ٣٩

It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss.

35:40

قُلْ Say أَرَءَيْتُمْ Have you seen شُرَكَآءَكُمُ your partners ٱلَّذِينَ those whom تَدْعُونَ you call مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah أَرُونِى Show Me مَاذَا what خَلَقُوا۟ they have created مِنَ from ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth أَمْ or لَهُمْ for them شِرْكٌۭ (is) a share فِى in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens أَمْ Or ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ have We given them كِتَـٰبًۭا a Book فَهُمْ so they عَلَىٰ (are) on بَيِّنَتٍۢ a clear proof مِّنْهُ ۚ therefrom بَلْ Nay إِن not يَعِدُ promise ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers بَعْضُهُم some of them بَعْضًا (to) others إِلَّا except غُرُورًا delusion ٤٠

Say, "Have you considered your 'partners' whom you invoke besides Allāh? Show me what they have created from the earth, or have they partnership [with Him] in the heavens? Or have We given them a book so they are [standing] on evidence therefrom? [No], rather, the wrongdoers do not promise each other except delusion."
