وَقَدْ And certainly مَكَرَ plotted ٱلَّذِينَ those who مِن (were) from قَبْلِهِمْ before them فَلِلَّهِ but for Allah ٱلْمَكْرُ (is) the plot جَمِيعًۭا ۖ all يَعْلَمُ He knows مَا what تَكْسِبُ earns كُلُّ every نَفْسٍۢ ۗ soul وَسَيَعْلَمُ and will know ٱلْكُفَّـٰرُ the disbelievers لِمَنْ for whom عُقْبَى (is) the final ٱلدَّارِ the home ٤٢
And those before them had plotted, but to Allāh belongs the plan entirely. He knows what every soul earns, and the disbelievers will know for whom is the final home.
