فَذَرْنِى So leave Me وَمَن and whoever يُكَذِّبُ denies بِهَـٰذَا this ٱلْحَدِيثِ ۖ Statement سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم We will progressively lead them مِّنْ from حَيْثُ where لَا not يَعْلَمُونَ they know ٤٤

So leave Me, [O Muḥammad], with [the matter of] whoever denies this statement [i.e., the Qur’ān]. We will progressively lead them [to punishment] from where they do not know.

Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?

أَمْ Or عِندَهُمُ (is) with them ٱلْغَيْبُ the unseen فَهُمْ so they يَكْتُبُونَ write it ٤٧

Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muḥammad], and be not like the companion of the fish [i.e., Jonah] when he called out while he was distressed.

— Come To Light

لَّوْلَآ If not أَن that تَدَٰرَكَهُۥ overtook him نِعْمَةٌۭ a Favor مِّن from رَّبِّهِۦ his Lord لَنُبِذَ surely he would have been thrown بِٱلْعَرَآءِ onto (the) naked shore وَهُوَ while he مَذْمُومٌۭ (was) blamed ٤٩

If not that a favor [i.e., mercy] from his Lord overtook him, he would have been thrown onto the naked shore while he was censured.

— Come To Light

فَٱجْتَبَـٰهُ But chose him رَبُّهُۥ his Lord فَجَعَلَهُۥ and made him مِنَ of ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ the righteous ٥٠

And his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous.

وَإِن And indeed يَكَادُ would almost ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ surely make you slip بِأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ with their look لَمَّا when سَمِعُوا۟ they hear ٱلذِّكْرَ the Message وَيَقُولُونَ and they say إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he لَمَجْنُونٌۭ (is) surely mad ٥١

And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes [i.e., looks] when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad."

— Come To Light

وَمَا And not هُوَ it (is) إِلَّا but ذِكْرٌۭ a Reminder لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ to the worlds ٥٢

But it is not except a reminder to the worlds.
