57:25

لَقَدْ Certainly أَرْسَلْنَا We sent رُسُلَنَا Our Messengers بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ with clear proofs وَأَنزَلْنَا and We sent down مَعَهُمُ with them ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Scripture وَٱلْمِيزَانَ and the Balance لِيَقُومَ that may establish ٱلنَّاسُ the people بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ justice وَأَنزَلْنَا And We sent down ٱلْحَدِيدَ [the] iron فِيهِ wherein بَأْسٌۭ (is) power شَدِيدٌۭ mighty وَمَنَـٰفِعُ and benefits لِلنَّاسِ for the people وَلِيَعْلَمَ and so that Allah may make evident ٱللَّهُ and so that Allah may make evident مَن (he) who يَنصُرُهُۥ helps Him وَرُسُلَهُۥ and His Messengers بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ unseen إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah قَوِىٌّ (is) All-Strong عَزِيزٌۭ All-Mighty ٢٥

We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allāh may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allāh is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

57:26

وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَرْسَلْنَا We sent نُوحًۭا Nuh وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ and Ibrahim وَجَعَلْنَا and We placed فِى in ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا their offspring ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ Prophethood وَٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۖ and the Scripture فَمِنْهُم and among them مُّهْتَدٍۢ ۖ (is) a guided one وَكَثِيرٌۭ but most مِّنْهُمْ of them فَـٰسِقُونَ (are) defiantly disobediently ٢٦

And We have already sent Noah and Abraham and placed in their descendants prophethood and scripture; and among them is he who is guided, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

57:27

ثُمَّ Then قَفَّيْنَا We sent عَلَىٰٓ on ءَاثَـٰرِهِم their footsteps بِرُسُلِنَا Our Messengers وَقَفَّيْنَا and We followed بِعِيسَى with Isa ٱبْنِ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ and We gave him ٱلْإِنجِيلَ the Injeel وَجَعَلْنَا And We placed فِى in قُلُوبِ (the) hearts ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who ٱتَّبَعُوهُ followed him رَأْفَةًۭ compassion وَرَحْمَةًۭ and mercy وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً But monasticism ٱبْتَدَعُوهَا they innovated مَا not كَتَبْنَـٰهَا We prescribed it عَلَيْهِمْ for them إِلَّا only ٱبْتِغَآءَ seeking رِضْوَٰنِ (the) pleasure ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah فَمَا but not رَعَوْهَا they observed it حَقَّ (with) right رِعَايَتِهَا ۖ observance فَـَٔاتَيْنَا So We gave ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed مِنْهُمْ among them أَجْرَهُمْ ۖ their reward وَكَثِيرٌۭ but most مِّنْهُمْ of them فَـٰسِقُونَ (are) defiantly disobediently ٢٧

Then We sent following their footsteps [i.e., traditions] Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allāh. But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

57:28

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe ءَامَنُوا۟ O you who believe ٱتَّقُوا۟ Fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَءَامِنُوا۟ and believe بِرَسُولِهِۦ in His Messenger يُؤْتِكُمْ He will give you كِفْلَيْنِ double portion مِن of رَّحْمَتِهِۦ His Mercy وَيَجْعَل and He will make لَّكُمْ for you نُورًۭا a light تَمْشُونَ you will walk بِهِۦ with it وَيَغْفِرْ and He will forgive لَكُمْ ۚ you وَٱللَّهُ And Allah غَفُورٌۭ (is) Oft-Forgiving رَّحِيمٌۭ Most Merciful ٢٨

O you who have believed, fear Allāh and believe in His Messenger; He will [then] give you a double portion of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.

57:29

لِّئَلَّا So that يَعْلَمَ may know أَهْلُ (the) People ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (of) the Book أَلَّا that not يَقْدِرُونَ they have power عَلَىٰ over شَىْءٍۢ anything مِّن from فَضْلِ (the) Bounty ٱللَّهِ ۙ (of) Allah وَأَنَّ and that ٱلْفَضْلَ the Bounty بِيَدِ (is) in Allah's Hand ٱللَّهِ (is) in Allah's Hand يُؤْتِيهِ He gives it مَن whom يَشَآءُ ۚ He wills وَٱللَّهُ And Allah ذُو (is) the Possessor of Bounty ٱلْفَضْلِ (is) the Possessor of Bounty ٱلْعَظِيمِ the Great ٢٩

[This is] so that the People of the Scripture may know that they are not able [to obtain] anything from the bounty of Allāh and that [all] bounty is in the hand of Allāh; He gives it to whom He wills. And Allāh is the possessor of great bounty.
