يَسْـَٔلُكَ Ask you ٱلنَّاسُ the people عَنِ about ٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖ the Hour قُلْ Say إِنَّمَا Only عِلْمُهَا its knowledge عِندَ (is) with ٱللَّهِ ۚ Allah وَمَا And what يُدْرِيكَ will make you know لَعَلَّ Perhaps ٱلسَّاعَةَ the Hour تَكُونُ is قَرِيبًا near ٦٣
People ask you concerning the Hour. Say, "Knowledge of it is only with Allāh. And what may make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near."
— Come To Light
إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah لَعَنَ has cursed ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers وَأَعَدَّ and has prepared لَهُمْ for them سَعِيرًا a Blaze ٦٤
Indeed, Allāh has cursed the disbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze.
— Come To Light
خَـٰلِدِينَ Abiding فِيهَآ therein أَبَدًۭا ۖ forever لَّا not يَجِدُونَ they will find وَلِيًّۭا any protector وَلَا and not نَصِيرًۭا any helper ٦٥
Abiding therein forever, they will not find a protector or a helper.
— Come To Light
يَوْمَ (The) Day تُقَلَّبُ will be turned about وُجُوهُهُمْ their faces فِى in ٱلنَّارِ the Fire يَقُولُونَ they will say يَـٰلَيْتَنَآ O we wish أَطَعْنَا we (had) obeyed ٱللَّهَ Allah وَأَطَعْنَا and obeyed ٱلرَّسُولَا۠ the Messenger ٦٦
The Day their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say, "How we wish we had obeyed Allāh and obeyed the Messenger."
— Come To Light
وَقَالُوا۟ And they will say رَبَّنَآ Our Lord إِنَّآ Indeed, we أَطَعْنَا [we] obeyed سَادَتَنَا our chiefs وَكُبَرَآءَنَا and our great men فَأَضَلُّونَا and they misled us ٱلسَّبِيلَا۠ (from) the Way ٦٧
And they will say, "Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries, and they led us astray from the [right] way.
— Come To Light
رَبَّنَآ Our Lord ءَاتِهِمْ Give them ضِعْفَيْنِ double مِنَ [of] ٱلْعَذَابِ punishment وَٱلْعَنْهُمْ and curse them لَعْنًۭا (with) a curse كَبِيرًۭا great ٦٨
Our Lord, give them double the punishment and curse them with a great curse."
— Come To Light
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe ءَامَنُوا۟ O you who believe لَا (Do) not تَكُونُوا۟ be كَٱلَّذِينَ like those who ءَاذَوْا۟ abused مُوسَىٰ Musa فَبَرَّأَهُ then Allah cleared him ٱللَّهُ then Allah cleared him مِمَّا of what قَالُوا۟ ۚ they said وَكَانَ And he was عِندَ near ٱللَّهِ Allah وَجِيهًۭا honorable ٦٩
O you who have believed, be not like those who abused Moses; then Allāh cleared him of what they said. And he, in the sight of Allāh, was distinguished.
— Come To Light
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe ءَامَنُوا۟ O you who believe ٱتَّقُوا۟ Fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَقُولُوا۟ and speak قَوْلًۭا a word سَدِيدًۭا right ٧٠
O you who have believed, fear Allāh and speak words of appropriate justice.
— Come To Light
يُصْلِحْ He will amend لَكُمْ for you أَعْمَـٰلَكُمْ your deeds وَيَغْفِرْ and forgive لَكُمْ for you ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ your sins وَمَن And whoever يُطِعِ obeys ٱللَّهَ Allah وَرَسُولَهُۥ and His Messenger فَقَدْ certainly فَازَ has attained فَوْزًا an attainment عَظِيمًا great ٧١
He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allāh and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
— Come To Light
إِنَّا Indeed, We عَرَضْنَا [We] offered ٱلْأَمَانَةَ the Trust عَلَى to ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَٱلْجِبَالِ and the mountains فَأَبَيْنَ but they refused أَن to يَحْمِلْنَهَا bear it وَأَشْفَقْنَ and they feared مِنْهَا from it وَحَمَلَهَا but bore it ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ ۖ the man إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he كَانَ was ظَلُومًۭا unjust جَهُولًۭا ignorant ٧٢
Indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.
— Come To Light
لِّيُعَذِّبَ So that Allah may punish ٱللَّهُ So that Allah may punish ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقِينَ the hypocrite men وَٱلْمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتِ and the hypocrite women وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ and the polytheist men وَٱلْمُشْرِكَـٰتِ and the polytheist women وَيَتُوبَ and Allah will turn (in Mercy) ٱللَّهُ and Allah will turn (in Mercy) عَلَى to ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believing men وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ ۗ and the believing women وَكَانَ And Allah is ٱللَّهُ And Allah is غَفُورًۭا Oft-Forgiving رَّحِيمًۢا Most Merciful ٧٣
[It was] so that Allāh may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others with Him and that Allāh may accept repentance from the believing men and believing women. And ever is Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.
