۞ وَإِذَا And when رَأَيْتَهُمْ you see them تُعْجِبُكَ pleases you أَجْسَامُهُمْ ۖ their bodies وَإِن and if يَقُولُوا۟ they speak تَسْمَعْ you listen لِقَوْلِهِمْ ۖ to their speech كَأَنَّهُمْ as if they (were) خُشُبٌۭ pieces of wood مُّسَنَّدَةٌۭ ۖ propped up يَحْسَبُونَ They think كُلَّ every صَيْحَةٍ shout عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ (is) against them هُمُ They ٱلْعَدُوُّ (are) the enemy فَٱحْذَرْهُمْ ۚ so beware of them قَـٰتَلَهُمُ May destroy them ٱللَّهُ ۖ Allah أَنَّىٰ How يُؤْفَكُونَ are they deluded ٤
And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up - they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allāh destroy them; how are they deluded?
