قُلْ Say مَآ Not أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ I ask of you عَلَيْهِ for it مِنْ any أَجْرٍۢ payment وَمَآ and not أَنَا۠ I am مِنَ of ٱلْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ the ones who pretend ٨٦
Say, [O Muḥammad], "I do not ask you for it [i.e., the Qur’ān] any payment, and I am not of the pretentious.
