ٱلَّذِينَ Those who قَالُوا۟ said لِإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ about their brothers وَقَعَدُوا۟ while they sat لَوْ If أَطَاعُونَا they (had) obeyed us مَا not قُتِلُوا۟ ۗ they would have been killed قُلْ Say فَٱدْرَءُوا۟ Then avert عَنْ from أَنفُسِكُمُ yourselves ٱلْمَوْتَ [the] death إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَـٰدِقِينَ truthful ١٦٨
Those who said about their brothers while sitting [at home], "If they had obeyed us, they would not have been killed." Say, "Then prevent death from yourselves, if you should be truthful."
