مَا What is with you لَكُمْ What is with you كَيْفَ How تَحْكُمُونَ you judge ١٥٤
What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement?
— Come To Light
أَفَلَا Then will not تَذَكَّرُونَ you pay heed ١٥٥
Then will you not be reminded?
— Come To Light
أَمْ Or لَكُمْ (is) for you سُلْطَـٰنٌۭ an authority مُّبِينٌۭ clear ١٥٦
Or do you have a clear authority?
— Come To Light
فَأْتُوا۟ Then bring بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ your book إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَـٰدِقِينَ truthful ١٥٧
Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.
— Come To Light
وَجَعَلُوا۟ And they have made بَيْنَهُۥ between Him وَبَيْنَ and between ٱلْجِنَّةِ the jinn نَسَبًۭا ۚ a relationship وَلَقَدْ but certainly عَلِمَتِ know ٱلْجِنَّةُ the jinn إِنَّهُمْ that they لَمُحْضَرُونَ (will) surely be brought ١٥٨
And they have made [i.e., claimed] between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought [to punishment].
— Come To Light
سُبْحَـٰنَ Glory be ٱللَّهِ (to) Allah عَمَّا above what يَصِفُونَ they attribute ١٥٩
Exalted is Allāh above what they describe,
— Come To Light
إِلَّا Except عِبَادَ (the) slaves ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ the chosen ١٦٠
Except the chosen servants of Allāh [who do not share in that sin].
— Come To Light
فَإِنَّكُمْ So indeed, you وَمَا and what تَعْبُدُونَ you worship ١٦١
So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship,
— Come To Light
مَآ Not أَنتُمْ you عَلَيْهِ from Him بِفَـٰتِنِينَ can tempt away (anyone) ١٦٢
You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him
— Come To Light
إِلَّا Except مَنْ who هُوَ he صَالِ (is) to burn ٱلْجَحِيمِ (in) the Hellfire ١٦٣
Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire.
— Come To Light
وَمَا And not مِنَّآ among us إِلَّا except لَهُۥ for him مَقَامٌۭ (is) a position مَّعْلُومٌۭ known ١٦٤
[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position.
— Come To Light
وَإِنَّا And indeed, we لَنَحْنُ surely, [we] ٱلصَّآفُّونَ stand in rows ١٦٥
And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer].
— Come To Light
وَإِنَّا And indeed, we لَنَحْنُ surely, [we] ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ glorify (Allah) ١٦٦
And indeed, we are those who exalt Allāh."
— Come To Light
وَإِن And indeed كَانُوا۟ they used to لَيَقُولُونَ say ١٦٧
And indeed, they [i.e., the disbelievers] used to say,
— Come To Light
لَوْ If أَنَّ that عِندَنَا we had ذِكْرًۭا a reminder مِّنَ from ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ the former (people) ١٦٨
"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples,
— Come To Light
لَكُنَّا Certainly, we (would) have been عِبَادَ slaves ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ the chosen ١٦٩
We would have been the chosen servants of Allāh."
— Come To Light
فَكَفَرُوا۟ But they disbelieved بِهِۦ ۖ in it فَسَوْفَ so soon يَعْلَمُونَ they will know ١٧٠
But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know.
— Come To Light
وَلَقَدْ And verily سَبَقَتْ has preceded كَلِمَتُنَا Our Word لِعِبَادِنَا for Our slaves ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers ١٧١
And Our word [i.e., decree] has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers,
— Come To Light
إِنَّهُمْ Indeed they لَهُمُ surely they ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ (would be) the victorious ١٧٢
[That] indeed, they would be those given victory
— Come To Light
وَإِنَّ And indeed جُندَنَا Our host لَهُمُ surely, they ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ (will be) those who overcome ١٧٣
And [that] indeed, Our soldiers [i.e., the believers] will be those who overcome.
