وَمَآ And not أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ We sent you إِلَّا except مُبَشِّرًۭا (as) a bearer of glad tidings وَنَذِيرًۭا and a warner ٥٦
And We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.
— Come To Light
قُلْ Say مَآ Not أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ I ask (of) you عَلَيْهِ for it مِنْ any أَجْرٍ payment إِلَّا except مَن (that) whoever wills شَآءَ (that) whoever wills أَن to يَتَّخِذَ take إِلَىٰ to رَبِّهِۦ his Lord سَبِيلًۭا a way ٥٧
Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."
— Come To Light
وَتَوَكَّلْ And put your trust عَلَى in ٱلْحَىِّ the Ever-Living ٱلَّذِى the One Who لَا does not die يَمُوتُ does not die وَسَبِّحْ and glorify بِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚ with His Praise وَكَفَىٰ And sufficient is بِهِۦ He بِذُنُوبِ regarding the sins عِبَادِهِۦ (of) His slaves خَبِيرًا All-Aware ٥٨
And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allāh] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, [fully] Aware -
— Come To Light
ٱلَّذِى The One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between them فِى in سِتَّةِ six أَيَّامٍۢ periods ثُمَّ then ٱسْتَوَىٰ He established Himself عَلَى over ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚ the Throne ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ the Most Gracious فَسْـَٔلْ so ask بِهِۦ Him خَبِيرًۭا (as He is) All-Aware ٥٩
He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ)].
— Come To Light
وَإِذَا And when قِيلَ it is said لَهُمُ to them ٱسْجُدُوا۟ Prostrate لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ to the Most Gracious قَالُوا۟ They say وَمَا And what ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ (is) the Most Gracious أَنَسْجُدُ Should we prostrate لِمَا to what تَأْمُرُنَا you order us وَزَادَهُمْ And it increases them نُفُورًۭا ۩ (in) aversion ٦٠
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.
— Come To Light
تَبَارَكَ Blessed is He ٱلَّذِى Who جَعَلَ has placed فِى in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the skies بُرُوجًۭا constellations وَجَعَلَ and has placed فِيهَا therein سِرَٰجًۭا a lamp وَقَمَرًۭا and a moon مُّنِيرًۭا shining ٦١
Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.
— Come To Light
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made ٱلَّيْلَ the night وَٱلنَّهَارَ and the day خِلْفَةًۭ (in) succession لِّمَنْ for whoever أَرَادَ desires أَن to يَذَّكَّرَ remember أَوْ or أَرَادَ desires شُكُورًۭا to be thankful ٦٢
And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.
— Come To Light
وَعِبَادُ And (the) slaves ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious ٱلَّذِينَ (are) those who يَمْشُونَ walk عَلَى on ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth هَوْنًۭا (in) humbleness وَإِذَا and when خَاطَبَهُمُ address them ٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَ the ignorant ones قَالُوا۟ they say سَلَـٰمًۭا Peace ٦٣
And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,
— Come To Light
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يَبِيتُونَ spend (the) night لِرَبِّهِمْ before their Lord سُجَّدًۭا prostrating وَقِيَـٰمًۭا and standing ٦٤
And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]
— Come To Light
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يَقُولُونَ say رَبَّنَا Our Lord ٱصْرِفْ Avert عَنَّا from us عَذَابَ the punishment جَهَنَّمَ ۖ (of) Hell إِنَّ Indeed عَذَابَهَا its punishment كَانَ is غَرَامًا inseparable ٦٥
And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering;
— Come To Light
إِنَّهَا Indeed, it سَآءَتْ (is) an evil مُسْتَقَرًّۭا abode وَمُقَامًۭا and resting place ٦٦
Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."
— Come To Light
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who إِذَآ when أَنفَقُوا۟ they spend لَمْ (are) not extravagant يُسْرِفُوا۟ (are) not extravagant وَلَمْ and are not stingy يَقْتُرُوا۟ and are not stingy وَكَانَ but are بَيْنَ between ذَٰلِكَ that قَوَامًۭا moderate ٦٧
And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate
— Come To Light
