وَإِذَا And when فَعَلُوا۟ they do فَـٰحِشَةًۭ immorality قَالُوا۟ they say وَجَدْنَا We found عَلَيْهَآ on it ءَابَآءَنَا our forefathers وَٱللَّهُ and Allah أَمَرَنَا (has) ordered us بِهَا ۗ of it قُلْ Say إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَأْمُرُ order بِٱلْفَحْشَآءِ ۖ immorality أَتَقُولُونَ Do you say عَلَى about ٱللَّهِ Allah مَا what لَا not تَعْلَمُونَ you know ٢٨
And when they commit an immorality, they say, "We found our fathers doing it, and Allāh has ordered us to do it." Say, "Indeed, Allāh does not order immorality. Do you say about Allāh that which you do not know?"
