يَـٰبَنِىٓ O Children ءَادَمَ (of) Adam قَدْ Verily أَنزَلْنَا We have sent down عَلَيْكُمْ to you لِبَاسًۭا clothing يُوَٰرِى it covers سَوْءَٰتِكُمْ your shame وَرِيشًۭا ۖ and (as) an adornment وَلِبَاسُ But the clothing ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ (of) [the] righteousness ذَٰلِكَ that خَيْرٌۭ ۚ (is) best ذَٰلِكَ That مِنْ (is) from ءَايَـٰتِ (the) Signs ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَذَّكَّرُونَ remember ٢٦
O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allāh that perhaps they will remember.
