قُلْ Say يَـٰٓأَهْلَ O People ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (of) the Book لَا (Do) not تَغْلُوا۟ exceed فِى in دِينِكُمْ your religion غَيْرَ other than ٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَلَا and (do) not تَتَّبِعُوٓا۟ follow أَهْوَآءَ (vain) desires قَوْمٍۢ (of) a people قَدْ certainly ضَلُّوا۟ who went astray مِن from قَبْلُ before وَأَضَلُّوا۟ and they misled كَثِيرًۭا many وَضَلُّوا۟ and they have strayed عَن from سَوَآءِ (the) right ٱلسَّبِيلِ [the] way ٧٧
Say, "O People of the Scripture, do not exceed limits in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have strayed from the soundness of the way."
