وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَهْلَكْنَا We destroyed مَا what حَوْلَكُم surrounds you مِّنَ of ٱلْقُرَىٰ the towns وَصَرَّفْنَا and We have diversified ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ the Signs لَعَلَّهُمْ that they may يَرْجِعُونَ return ٢٧
And We have already destroyed what surrounds you of [those] cities, and We have diversified the signs [or verses] that perhaps they might return [from disbelief].
