۞ وَٱذْكُرْ And mention أَخَا (the) brother عَادٍ (of) Aad إِذْ when أَنذَرَ he warned قَوْمَهُۥ his people بِٱلْأَحْقَافِ in the Al-Ahqaf وَقَدْ and had already passed away خَلَتِ and had already passed away ٱلنُّذُرُ [the] warners مِنۢ before him بَيْنِ before him يَدَيْهِ before him وَمِنْ and after him خَلْفِهِۦٓ and after him أَلَّا That not تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ you worship إِلَّا except ٱللَّهَ Allah إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أَخَافُ [I] fear عَلَيْكُمْ for you عَذَابَ a punishment يَوْمٍ (of) a Day عَظِيمٍۢ Great ٢١
And mention, [O Muḥammad], the brother of ʿAad, when he warned his people in [the region of] al-Aḥqāf - and warners had already passed on before him and after him - [saying], "Do not worship except Allāh. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."
