وَمَا And not نُرِيهِم We showed them مِّنْ of ءَايَةٍ a Sign إِلَّا but هِىَ it أَكْبَرُ (was) greater مِنْ than أُخْتِهَا ۖ its sister وَأَخَذْنَـٰهُم and We seized them بِٱلْعَذَابِ with the punishment لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَرْجِعُونَ return ٤٨
And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].
