وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يَحْشُرُهُمْ He will gather them جَمِيعًۭا all ثُمَّ then يَقُولُ He will say لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ to the Angels أَهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ Were these you إِيَّاكُمْ Were these you كَانُوا۟ they were يَعْبُدُونَ worshipping ٤٠
And [mention] the Day when He will gather them all and then say to the angels, "Did these [people] used to worship you?"
— Come To Light
قَالُوا۟ They will say سُبْحَـٰنَكَ Glory be to You أَنتَ You وَلِيُّنَا (are) our Protector مِن not them دُونِهِم ۖ not them بَلْ Nay كَانُوا۟ they used يَعْبُدُونَ (to) worship ٱلْجِنَّ ۖ the jinn أَكْثَرُهُم most of them بِهِم in them مُّؤْمِنُونَ (were) believers ٤١
They will say, "Exalted are You! You, [O Allāh], are our benefactor excluding [i.e., not] them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them."
