فَقَالُوا۟ But they said رَبَّنَا Our Lord بَـٰعِدْ lengthen (the distance) بَيْنَ between أَسْفَارِنَا our journeys وَظَلَمُوٓا۟ And they wronged أَنفُسَهُمْ themselves فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ so We made them أَحَادِيثَ narrations وَمَزَّقْنَـٰهُمْ and We dispersed them كُلَّ (in) a total مُمَزَّقٍ ۚ dispersion إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ surely (are) Signs لِّكُلِّ for everyone صَبَّارٍۢ patient شَكُورٍۢ (and) grateful ١٩
But [insolently] they said, "Our Lord, lengthen the distance between our journeys," and wronged themselves, so We made them narrations and dispersed them in total dispersion. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.
