وَوَصَّيْنَا And We have enjoined ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ (upon) man بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ for his parents حَمَلَتْهُ carried him أُمُّهُۥ his mother وَهْنًا (in) weakness عَلَىٰ upon وَهْنٍۢ weakness وَفِصَـٰلُهُۥ and his weaning فِى (is) in عَامَيْنِ two years أَنِ that ٱشْكُرْ Be grateful لِى to Me وَلِوَٰلِدَيْكَ and to your parents إِلَىَّ towards Me ٱلْمَصِيرُ (is) the destination ١٤
And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.
