فَخَرَجَ So he went forth عَلَىٰ to قَوْمِهِۦ his people فِى in زِينَتِهِۦ ۖ his adornment قَالَ Said ٱلَّذِينَ those who يُرِيدُونَ desire ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world يَـٰلَيْتَ O! Would that لَنَا for us مِثْلَ (the) like مَآ (of) what أُوتِىَ has been given قَـٰرُونُ (to) Qarun إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he لَذُو (is the) owner حَظٍّ (of) fortune عَظِيمٍۢ great ٧٩
So he came out before his people in his adornment. Those who desired the worldly life said, "Oh, would that we had like what was given to Qārūn. Indeed, he is one of great fortune."
