لَوْ If أَرَدْنَآ We intended أَن that نَّتَّخِذَ We take لَهْوًۭا a pastime لَّٱتَّخَذْنَـٰهُ surely We (could have) taken it مِن from لَّدُنَّآ Us إِن if كُنَّا We were فَـٰعِلِينَ doers ١٧
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.
