فَٱنطَلَقَا So they both set out حَتَّىٰٓ until إِذَا when رَكِبَا they had embarked فِى on ٱلسَّفِينَةِ the ship خَرَقَهَا ۖ he made a hole in it قَالَ He said أَخَرَقْتَهَا Have you made a hole in it لِتُغْرِقَ to drown أَهْلَهَا its people لَقَدْ Certainly جِئْتَ you have done شَيْـًٔا a thing إِمْرًۭا grave ٧١
So they set out, until when they had embarked on the ship, he [i.e., al-Khiḍr] tore it open. [Moses] said, "Have you torn it open to drown its people? You have certainly done a grave thing."
