وَإِذَا And when بَدَّلْنَآ We substitute ءَايَةًۭ a Verse مَّكَانَ (in) place ءَايَةٍۢ ۙ (of) a Verse وَٱللَّهُ and Allah أَعْلَمُ (is) most knowing بِمَا of what يُنَزِّلُ He sends down قَالُوٓا۟ they say إِنَّمَآ Only أَنتَ you مُفْتَرٍۭ ۚ (are) an inventor بَلْ Nay أَكْثَرُهُمْ most of them لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know ١٠١
And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allāh is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You, [O Muḥammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know.
