قَالُوا۟ They said يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلْعَزِيزُ Aziz إِنَّ Indeed لَهُۥٓ he has أَبًۭا a father شَيْخًۭا old كَبِيرًۭا [great] فَخُذْ so take أَحَدَنَا one of us مَكَانَهُۥٓ ۖ (in) his place إِنَّا Indeed, we نَرَىٰكَ [we] see you مِنَ of ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers ٧٨
They said, "O ʿAzeez, indeed he has a father [who is] an old man, so take one of us in place of him. Indeed, we see you as a doer of good."
