أَلْهَىٰكُمُ Diverts you ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ the competition to increase ١
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
— Come To Light
102. Surah At-Takathur
The Rivalry in world increase · Makki · 8 Ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
حَتَّىٰ Until زُرْتُمُ you visit ٱلْمَقَابِرَ the graves ٢
Until you visit the graveyards.
— Come To Light
كَلَّا Nay سَوْفَ Soon تَعْلَمُونَ you will know ٣
No! You are going to know.
— Come To Light
ثُمَّ Then كَلَّا nay سَوْفَ Soon تَعْلَمُونَ you will know ٤
Then, no! You are going to know.
— Come To Light
كَلَّا Nay لَوْ If تَعْلَمُونَ you know عِلْمَ (with) a knowledge ٱلْيَقِينِ (of) certainty ٥
No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...
— Come To Light
لَتَرَوُنَّ Surely you will see ٱلْجَحِيمَ the Hellfire ٦
You will surely see the Hellfire.
— Come To Light
ثُمَّ Then لَتَرَوُنَّهَا surely you will see it عَيْنَ (with the) eye ٱلْيَقِينِ (of) certainty ٧
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
— Come To Light
ثُمَّ Then لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ surely you will be asked يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day عَنِ about ٱلنَّعِيمِ the pleasures ٨
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.
